No doubt the Hawks can win. But you're severely underestimating the Bruins and reasoning in a negative light why they beat the teams they beat.
You're right that there is no perfect team, but the Penguins were picked by a lot of experts to come out of the east and to win the cup. They were as healthy as they can be. It's not that it was their D or goaltendding that was the issue against the Bruins. It was the way the Bruins neutralized their offense playing trap hockey that was impressive. Game 1 was closer than the score and game 3 and 4 could have gone either way. But the Bruins won because those games were played in the way they like to play their games.
Trap hockey has won the cup far more than a free-flowing offensive team. Defensive teams are allowed to grab and clutch. Keep that in mind.
Hockey experts are the worst analysts in sports breh...and im sry but the Pens goaltending has been issue all playoffs long...there sh1tty def zone coverage was a major reason they couldnt keep from playing behind all series...the series ending goal was a microcosm for the series a clear def zone breakdown on the point shot...
Honestly if your quick, quick at moving the puck on the rush out ya end and forecheck hard and press them they will look as soft as they did in Round 1 games 5-7...Im not taking away from them getting here, someone had to win..but they beat soft opponents who played them very soft and didnt neutralize any of the things they like to do....
They're a good team but not great and all these analysts coming out the shadows professing them to be a team of destiny and having this mythical advantage of strength and fate on there side...
Just take away there point shots and it'll be a 5 game series like LA...
