Tom Steyer Is Asking The Questions That Every Presidential Candidate Still Needs to Answer

During Friday’s Democratic debate in New Hampshire, however, one of the candidates onstage bucked the typical debate script by posing questions of his own — a curious campaign strategy, to be sure, but the result was better, more urgent questions about how the heck the eventual Democratic nominee is going to defeat President Trump.

The candidate was liberal California billionaire Tom Steyer, who sounded more like an angry and concerned citizen freaked about Trump’s reelection prospects than a polished presidential contender clinging to his talking points. It was Steyer who, time and again on Friday night, steered the conversation away from yet another tit-for-tat argument and back to the larger question of what the Democratic message should be to defeat an incumbent president with a climbing approval rating and a strong economy (at least for now).

Seriously doubt Bernie could do anything to convince you to support him, you seem pretty firm with your opinions about him.

All he needs from you is to vote blue if he wins the nom though :manny:
She's 2 steps below nap on the hater scale but has the same admirable consistency of bad faith arguments on him
bannon admitting trump and bernie supporters are distant relatives shoutout to nas

dont know how many more times yall need to hear it....
Sounds like Bernie can snatch the trump voters the other candidates can't :leon: #Electability #UnityCandidate

Yep. It’s funny how ‘Blue no matter who’ only seems to go in one direction.
:jbhmm:

If Bernie wins I’m interested in what the narrative will be. We’re so used to it being the other way where progressives are the ones being asked to fall in line. Or in 2016 where Bernie / his supporters get criticized for not rallying hard enough around Clinton.

What’s it going to be like if the tables turn?

Can one of these unity progressives please help me out here? Explain to me how Joe Biden and Amy Klobuchar came to the defense of Bernie against Hillary -- very publicly -- while Warren hasn't said a single word?

Because that would be directly in conflict with her purpose for running, as much as she wanted to try and ride his wave and siphon off some of his supporters she was never really in this as some sort of ally for so called 'progressives', she's in it to split votes with Bernie and kneecap him if she can't win the nom. On Hillary's behalf of course.

Which is exactly why to the people outchea having to ration their insulin, "bernie or bust" isn't any less reasonable than "blue no matter who".

Steve Bannon is right, which is why he's on a liberal platform creating even more division because it worked well for them in 2016 and will work well for them in 2020.

The enemy is literally exploiting our weakness in plain sight, yet we don't have the self awareness to take that power from them.

You can't win a war when you're not fighting the enemy because you're preoccupied with arguing over what weapons to use and how to use them.
