My problem with that and Democrats in general is that they will back down quick from everything. Usually it's because they don't believe in progressive ideas they're pretending to push but also because if there is any push back they fold.

If you back off of M4A in primary, then you back down some more in general and then when you get into the office Pelosi and them will completely strip it and you'll end up with ACA.

Republicans wield power, Democrats don't.

USMCA is another example of it. Warren was on the debate stage saying "yeah I'm for it because it's an incremental improvement, it's not much better but I'm gonna change it, but I'm still voting for it :ld:"

When you're running for President you got to make people excited, run with shyt that you want in the perfect world.

You say "We're going to Mars". So then when you end up on the Moon you're good. But if you're running on, "we'll go back to the space station" your ass will end up with a broken rocket at Cape Canaveral.
well duh...because most dems aren't progressive

i don't believe that at all, you come to the table with the plan you believe in and one you can execute...you're not going to tell a 100 million people they have no choice in where they get medical coverage, M4A is not happening in the four years someone is guaranteed if they win

to the red...do yall get a "progressive talking points" worksheet...god i'm tired of these redundant space fillers

just because some of yall get excited by ideals doesn't mean others aren't excited by realism. i'm much more excited by a candidate who is realistically trying to change something, not some pipe dream ideal state that won't or can't happen in their tenure, and not some "hey, we actually don't have anything we need to change" person either. i accept that most of what people run on won't be accomplished, so i get excited by folks who keep it real and present something that could be accomplished...pipe dreams and the "proletariat overrunning the oligarchs" rhetoric doesn't move me :ld: thousands of years of recorded history let's me know that's not happening

lastly, people get excited by the dumbest of things from who they want to have a beer with to the best social media game to ambiguous inspirational speeches...policies aren't always part of that. so when we talk excitement...it's not some one-size fits all, i'm continually astonished so many posters here never try to look beyond themselves and what floats their boat. there are people genuinely excited by pete, while the promises of bernie fall flat...wake up, it's a big wide world out there

What's gross about this is you know that's not what happen yet you still typed that bullshyt. She mentioned the comments in an off the record dinner and reporters broke that code. She didn't leak shyt. She just didn't put the cape on and grovel at your candidate's feet so your mad about it. It's cool.

You say "We're going to Mars". So when congress impedes you at every turn in the hyper-partisan times we live in, the people that once supported you can whine about how you didnt keep your promises or get anything done.
true :ehh:

I meant my original bet before all of this started to go into effect. I mean among POC she didn’t even crack 10 percent in Iowa. I never saw that coming. I think that she listened to the woke warriors too much. She should’ve just stuck with her plans and corruption. Those two things resonate.

I also didn’t foresee Pete of all fukking people eating into her support. Like come on man.
Eh I never saw it that way. She always struck me as someone who wouldn’t really resonate with people outside of mostly chipper liberal nerdy types despite how good her policy proposals were.

I thought her black women surrogates would do better. I thought those ex Clinton people would be more useful. Looks like Bernie was right on how he put his team together.

maybe because she acknowledges black people and our specific issues? so in addition to creating plans for the masses, she also has plans specifically aimed at alleviating issues that affect black people disproportionately :ohhh:
And all it took was Buttigieg and Klobuchar bullying her at the debate to fold like a cheap teepee on M4A. You trust that she would stand tall on black issues? :heh: Ok.

I did. You thought Liz would do better with black people because of her commendable black agenda policy proposals.

I was essentially restating what I’ve been trying to tell Lizbos here for months: namely that no one cares how good policy proposals are on paper if they don’t believe the candidate will fight for them in good faith. Liz has always had an authenticity and trust problem with voters.

that's not why Liz didn't break through with black people, but ok

and authenticity and trust are issues for all politicians with us - but you're not black so i wouldn't expect you to understand - the reason why ADOS/both sides movements have legs

edit: this is actually hilarious, that of all groups, you think black people have any real level of trust in any arm of government or politicians :laff:

None of them really have any personality whatsoever. Don’t really put themselves out there for fear of ruffling feathers. AOC, Tlaib, and Omar are constantly LOOOOOOOOOOOOUD. They are known enemies of Trump and they ALL scream support for Bernie. Pressley is known but she’s the most conservative of all of them easily. Does Trump even know she exists? And honestly I don’t even know who else is on Warren’s team. They make no noise.
