I'm not jumping off the ledge after this game. We know Goof is gonna have a few duds every year. Philly's defense has violated a lot of teams and QBs the past couple years.

If Campbell didn't coach this game like a complete bozo, they probably would have won like 18-16.

They only play one more game outdoors the rest of the season: Week 18 in Chicago.

Sure the schedule gets easier but we have two likely losses in there - GB and LA. Because their d-lines will blow up Goff. It’s getting predictable how this will go. And frankly the Giants game is no cake walk next week if they just let those edge rushers tee off. Add in the Vikings in Minny and 9-10 wins seems very possible.

Campbell wants to coach like it’s still 2023/2024 but this line can’t do it.

The difference this year is the defense is much better. The most yards they've given up in a game so far is 355 to KC. Last year they gave up more than that nine times including the playoffs.

The 2024 team allowed over 400 yards six times last year including two games over 500.

At a minimum, I think they're gonna hang around in pretty much every matchup.

This team is too emotional and it starts with the head coach. You have to be able to read a situation and put your team in position to win VS saying fukk it my guys are better than their guys. Those were the defending champs, show them some respect. Hell show your undermanned defense some respect. They balled out and were never given help.

This o-line can’t insulate Goff against great d-lines. It’s been obvious all season. And the big problem is at center. Holmes and Campbell have said they see Ratledge as the long term center. Does that mean next season? Because then you’re stringing together two seasons with potential o-line questions. He looks great at guard. What’s the plan B if he can’t do it? Because another season of this shyt with Glasgow is unacceptable.
Lions definitely show a lack of respect for other teams. Lions do run up the score on bad teams. The Two superbowl teams and Packers punched them in the mouth this year in the Lions biggest games. They need to humble themselves

Not crazy to say that Ragnow early retirement hurt Lions more than Barry and Megatrons

Honestly for all the talk about play calling and OC, this is the real story. Ragnow retiring after the draft fukked us. And you can tell Holmes must have thought he had one more year of Ragnow, hence the aggressive move to get Ratledge. If you watch the Inside The Den episode, you can hear Sheila say "and he can play center too" while discussing the pick with Holmes. The plan was clearly to have one more year of Ragnow at least, then if he retires in 2026 you move Ratledge to center. Ratledge was Georgia's backup center and while he never got game reps he got plenty in practice against NFL caliber d-lineman.

So what's the plan for next year? Because whether it's moving Ratledge to center, drafting a rookie, or signing a free agent it's arguably the most important decision of the offseason. This offense cannot operate unless we get a mauler back in the middle. Because Glasgow got sonned last night.

Draft the best Center or Guard in draft rd one. All probably depends on what Decker does after season. If he plays another year than Id keep Sewell and Ratledge together since they already have good chemistry on right side and draft Center. If Decker retires they should move Sewell to LT but then Ratledge position is in the air. Mahogany has showed enough to slot him at LG. But it would help if Frazier got some run this year to see what he has. They just need a Decker replacement on deck also. Not going to completely write off Manu yet. Having one start and being thrown against Trey Hendrickson then getting hurt is tough

I can def understand wanting to keep Ratledge at guard. He looks good in the run game. He didn't give up any pressures in the previous two weeks (including Minnesota). Now how much of that is a product of playing next to an elite tackle? Who knows. Zetiler looked elite with us (next to Penei) and looks average at best with Tennessee right now. I guess the question is do you want a Year 2 jump at guard, with Ratledge getting better...or do you want him playing center for the first time next year and potentially having another year of growing pains. Dunno. Seems like no matter what we're going to have a new center next year. Which could be a problem.

Like I just don’t know how you confidently proceed with a coach who does dumb shyt and thinks it’ll work because of magic or our guys are better than yours no matter what. NOT saying he should be fired any time soon. But how do you win it all with this type of thinking in charge?

You’re running a special teams LB at Jalen Carter and that’s your plan? Because you think he takes plays off or isn’t tough lol? Ok man.

Yea…we’re prob done. I agree we will string together wins to end the season on a high note but we’re not beating anyone with a great d-line without LaPorta. The safety blanket he provides for Goff and he’s the best blocking TE on the team.
