Was watching some of AOC’s stream earlier. Sounds like Democrats aren’t going to cave. They’re basically going to stand by and watch Republicans “Punch themselves in the face” for as long as it takes.

It sucks for Americans but this is all on MAGA/this administration right now. If Democrats cave it’ll be worse in addition to the damage Republicans will do.
She also said Trump talks like they’re making these potential layoffs as a response to the shutdown but reminded everyone that they’ve been laying off/firing people most of this year and were going to do it anyways because they’re a shytty administration. This is another way to blame Democrats for that but they’re not buying it.

They need 218 signatures to force a release of the Epstein files. Ol girl just won a special election that would come with that last signature and supersede that fakkit Mike Johnson. But due to the shutdown the house won't convene to swear her in--to make her last needed signature official. So essentially while we are shutdown that haults forcing the Epstein files from being released
The House Dems which AOC is part of won’t cave. Hakeem seems to have them united.
It’s the Senate Dems you need to pay attention to. The Republicans need to get 8 of them to get through the filibuster cause Rand Paul never votes for continuing resolutions.
