Sucks to see Thibs get the boot, but it was the correct move to make for this team to achieve that next step. He gets respect for laying down the groundwork helping making the Knicks respectable again.
As far as trading Hart or KAT, I don’t want to do that UNLESS you get something back that's going to greatly enhance this team's chances to win a championship. Honestly their is not much out there that is available.
I honestly believe the core we got (Brunson, KAT, OG, Mikal, Deuce, Mitch & Hart) is what we're rolling with for the foreseeable future. This team is a contender. Plus the Knicks don’t have much flexibility to improve the bench with the cap space we have. Which I believed played a major role in letting Thibs go.
It was either make trades to get pieces that fit with Thibs philosophy (which would be difficult with the salary cap situation)
Or run it back with this core intact with a different coach who can hopefully unlock this team's full potential (which is more likely the plausible scenario).
