Leon Rose had to check him at times on making specific moves based on personal biases.

It could've been a lot worse. The Toppin trade was all Thibs, not Rose.

Rose wanted Randle gone and to keep Toppin but he was a Thibs guy.

Now that is a controversial take seeing that we've seen Minnesota and Indiana play and I've never been a fan of Randles style of play.

1 is negative that puts up numbers, another is a positive with low usage. From a salary standpoint to net rating, that was my answer.

This account has been a consistent inside source guy for the Knicks for a while. It sounds like unlike last time, the FO really wants to see who is out there and they legit gave Thibs a chance to keep his job and he messed up.

We interviewed Udoka last time around and went with Thibs. (Not saying that was necessarily a mistake). I saw that they’ve put it out there that they’re interested in him still. They were also blown away by Kidd last coaching search.

I expect this to be a long process. I not fully convinced that coaches, especially those with a certain reputation, are gonna be lining up for the job. We had 7 coaches in the decade preceding Thibs' signing lmao. Knicks just sent the message that reaching the ECF isn't even enough to keep your job.

I was wrong about Thibs being fired so quickly after the season ended, so I might be wrong about this too, but I wouldn't even be surprised if we end up settling for some assistant signing right before training camp as opposed to one these gaudy names being thrown around.

No way. We’ll have a coach by the draft the latest. This should be an important summer league for 4 of your bench guys.

The front office with this firing is telling you this team should’ve beaten Indiana. That Once you beat Boston there was no excuse for any other Eastern conference team to beat you.

Do knicks fans really think Jalen Brunson can alter his game? He is a pick and roll iso merchant. Don't see how you can change the offense too much

Maybe the solution is to take the ball out of his hands a bit more. Let Mikal run the offense in spurts. When Brunson was injured, the Mikal/KAT two-man game was effective. Brunson was still really fukking good next to Julius Randle who needed the ball in his hands as well.

KAT's gonna stay IMO. If you trade him you're getting 75 cents on the dollar. Might as well see what another coach can do before you go down that road.
