Looks like Motorola is pushing out Lollipop updates quicker than Google. As a Nexus 5 owner, I am a little butt hurt brehs :mjcry:
They're meant to be getting a soak test on the Motorola x like the N5 previews that dropped sometime ago. Not the full final update. There's no confirmation of that anywhere.

We had a return on one and I played with it a little today. Not very impressed to be honest....
The way I see it the Nexus 7 is fine. It'll get Lollipop and better still has a 16:9 aspect ratio. Sure it's a bit smaller and lacks the boom sound but the speakers are acceptable.

I've looked hard into the Nexus 9 and there's no real justifiable reason to get rid of the Nexus 7 to get one except a 2 inch larger screen. That's not worth a $200 or more premium.

Yeah it's real polarizing right now and alot of apps don't fully support it. But I love mine. Basically, do everything on it.

The reason I'm considering it is because I want to change to a desktop and tablet set up instead of my laptop. I feel like nexus 7 is too small for that. What say you?

Yeah Nexus 7 is too small to be a laptop replacement. Plus honestly unless you're just watching movies the 4:3 ratio is much better for everything else. And you're getting a much better performing device as far as future proofing.

I have a 7 and it was good but its basically a Chromecast remote now.
