didn't watch but we are at a point where 200 dollar off contract phones perform on par with flagships, once mid range and "basic" smartphones get their Cameras down pack things will get very interesting.

Yeah and people are complaining about the hardware limitations of the 6 & 6+, that's why Apple's upping the RAM and camera optics in the 6s
The discussion wasn't whether or not older/cheap hardware can run similar tasks, it was whether or not it can run tasks as well as a current flagship, and the answer is no it cannot. There's a big difference in using a phone with 3GB of RAM vs 1GB, especially on Android. And that's before you get to the GPUs not being strong enough to run certain games and other applications. My Note 2 will not run any app as well as a Galaxy S6, I don't care what the app is.
And iOS to Android is an apples to oranges comparison. Doesn't matter what the specs are, iOS is designed for a specific company's devices, Android is stretched out over multiple companies and devices. iOS should always run better, although Apple fukking up iOS 8 might be a sign of things to come the more they try to fit features in like Android.
Got that lollipop update on my note 3. It's like I got a new phone![]()
