didn't watch but we are at a point where 200 dollar off contract phones perform on par with flagships, once mid range and "basic" smartphones get their Cameras down pack things will get very interesting.

Yep. I mentioned in another thread that Flagship Android phones from late 2012/early 2013 (i.e. LG Optimus G/Nexus 4, Note II, HTC Droid DNA, Sony Xperia Z, HTC One M7, & Galaxy S4) are more than powerful enough to do all the shyt that folks do with their smartphones. In fact these phones all have better specs than the iPhone 6 & 6+.

If you don't need or care for having the latest android phone in 2015 or 2014, you should be :eat:good when trying to buy a phone off-contract.

Yeah and people are complaining about the hardware limitations of the 6 & 6+, that's why Apple's upping the RAM and camera optics in the 6s

The discussion wasn't whether or not older/cheap hardware can run similar tasks, it was whether or not it can run tasks as well as a current flagship, and the answer is no it cannot. There's a big difference in using a phone with 3GB of RAM vs 1GB, especially on Android. And that's before you get to the GPUs not being strong enough to run certain games and other applications. My Note 2 will not run any app as well as a Galaxy S6, I don't care what the app is.

And iOS to Android is an apples to oranges comparison. Doesn't matter what the specs are, iOS is designed for a specific company's devices, Android is stretched out over multiple companies and devices. iOS should always run better, although Apple fukking up iOS 8 might be a sign of things to come the more they try to fit features in like Android.

trying to get that Zenaphone 4GB version to drop to around $350 and jump ship to T Mobile $30 plan

100 minutes :yeshrug: barely talk on the phone

5GB of data and unlimted texting

speaking of which. Anyone Cop an unlock international version of a phone? How's the speeds?

I have that plan and it's great. If you're running low on minutes you can add $5 or 10 to get extra.

I never got an international but you have to check each one to make sure it's compatible with 4G LTE. Just watch an Android Authority review and they'll tell you. They always review international phones.

If you don't want a large phone go with an LG G2 or G3. The G2 has a great camera and you can get one for $220 new. The G3 screen is quad hd, 5.5 inch but it's the size of a 5 inch phone:

It's around $300-380 but should drop soon when the G4 releases. The quad hd makes it more future proof. I'm copping a G3 soon.

Finally got around to paying for and using Taskr :ahh:
Coded it to launch Automate when it detects my bluetooth has connected to the car. It also closes the app when I disable bluetooth. This app is mad powerful if you know what you want and how to do it.

Are you stupid? Obviously newer phones gonna run shyt better but you gonna be paying 500$ or whatever so your apps can run .3seconds faster

After my craiglist debacle with the G3 I have now got a Xperia Z3. Blessing in disguise brehs. I am loving this phone. Haven't even loaded a new launcher yet. First time I'm sticking with a stock launcher since Sense on the Evo way back when.

Oh and that remote play works like a charm:blessed:
