Hangouts is clunky?? its the fastest and smoothest chat app out right now. Who the hell used Talk when you couldnt even send pics. Yall need to cut the fukkery out. Hangouts is not even finish they push it out prematurely to fix the issue between gtalk, g+ messenger and G+ hangout. Hanguts sync between desktop and mobile that alone makes it >>>

Hangouts Chrome extension is nice. I don't have an issue with it, I didn't use GTalk that much anyway.

GTalk wasn't slow so bringing up smoothness and shyt is a moot point. Google once again tried to fix what wasn't broken. They could have added this UI and still left Talk the way it was.
And you could send pics with Talk, just not over mobile, it would show as a link over mobile.
The shyt is just forcing users to use Google+ organizing my friends list into circles and shyt....why?? Let me choose if I want to do that.

I can't even tell if they are online. What the hell I look like sending gtalk messages to someone that may not have access to a pc for hours... When I send a sms / mms I know motherfukkers will have their phones with em since most people keep the smartphone with them 24/7.

The washed out pic means unavailable and the regular pic =online. Lol at needing to know who is online. The shyt work like whats app and kik ya bishes. Send the text and wait for a reply. Hangouts will be what facebook messenger and viber is. Wait till June 26th when android 4.3 drops to tell me that hangout suck when its updated

People liked the old layout. This is'nt a Coli thing, one of the biggest complaints all around the net was that they tried to fix something that was'nt broken.
No one cares what those other messengers are doing that's the whole point of GTalk people like GTalk they did'nt wish that GTalk was like other apps.
All they had to do was integrate the SMS aspect of Voice and tighten the screws on chat history recording. They added that one extra dash of salt to the pot and now it's salty instead of being "just right".
surprise surprise people hating a new layout. GTALK doesnt do anything in 2013. It couldnt even send pic messages or had emojis. Hangouts incorporate your phone contact, gmail and google+ contacts. Yes the contact area could be better but guess what it will be better. I think people missed where they said that hangouts is the future of google communication. First off Gtalk and G+ messenger both suck. Lets not act like they were some amazing product. Hangouts interface is the same one from G+ messenger. They havent port over all the features yet because they are porting over the user data and google voice features are not there yet because gv have peoples phone number thats linked to sms. This is version 1.0
