It's pretty much impossible to "brick" your wifi chip. You just need to reflash, as the software that controls wifi isn't touched when you do a data wipe.

Just grab the fastboot images and flash it. It should be fine after that.

I tried the reflash last night and it didn't work. From googling the issue, it's apparently not uncommon with the Nexus devices on 4.2.1.

just flashed CM 10.1 :ooh:

I got an S2 but I don't really feel the need to upgrade just yet. At all. shyt is butter smooth and does everything I need it to. Plus this aftermarket extended battery has my screen time at 5 hours plus. Figured eventually the hardware would become dated and start lagging but it's actually so fluid that I underclocked to get even better battery life. GSDG til the death of me :salute:

Total equipment protection with sprint

Don't got it...they did say if I took it to a Sprint store and they couldn't fix it, I'd only have to pay the restocking fee (50 bucks). I might try and scam and do it that way, keep my phone, and then flip the old phone when Google fixes the issue in an update. :scheme:

They are gonna want the old phone back. Smh. Besides you could sell it immediately after they fix it. People aren't gonna test out wifi when they buy it. :scheme:

You do realize that Samsung sells the most Android devices by a large margin and they put SD Card Slots in just about all their phones... :beli:
