O rly? Better camera, bigger screen, sd slot, removable battery & it wont shatter into pieces on both sides if i drop it. Once you group all that together w/ a stock Android rom, the phone IS better. Even w/ touchwiz its still better hardware wise. As far as updates go, I could care less about if its from Google or not. Ya'll just got 4.2.2 & we got it days after.

better camera?? foh
better screen?? foh
gs3 is more fragile homie....drop test dont lie

:why: how is it UNSTABLE if its the same exact source code as google uses, how hard can this simple fukin concept be so hard for you to understand

same code as google running on a device that google didnt tested their code on...are you on crack my n*g. just because you put a code on your phone doesnt mean its gonna run good. there will millions of bugs.....ported the code to a nexus is more stable than porting it to a damn samsung or htc device :birdman:

nexus 4 is the best android phone out.....faster than the gs3....we dont care for 100gb of storage or removable battery. Morphine juice pack>>>

cpu & gpu are better....better screen...better design/wireless charging built in, running stable 4.2.2, etc....better software and hardware

How is the gs3 not better if they both running stock android? :mindblown:

N4 hardware is far more stable, thermal throttling scales the proccesor back to prevent them from burning out. The threshold is set low by default so imagine if you were to tweak it via root. It will blow the s3 out of the water in performance and it already does a lot better with the thresholds low. That means, less force closes , crashes and better GUI performance. Difference between official stock and cm10 is that the nexus hardware is optimized for it. Even with the release candidates you still have radio handoff issues, crippled data and slow GPS locks. Memory and battery extensions is the only advantage the s3 has over the n4.

CM 10 4.2.2 is in nightly mode :shaq:

lol at google testing 4.2.2 on non nexus devices. dont flatter yourself

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.
It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

Crippled GPS lock, 3g/4g handoff is still buggy, crippled data, artifacts...ect. Cm10 is great but stock+root>>>>>> I've been using cm for years up until now, I must say stock asop is ideal. There's no reason to flash any roms on the nexus, its already optimal minus the custom features which all could done with rooting. :manny: its all preference at the end of the day, I wanted a stock phone I didn't have to flash Roms on and to get official updates. Got my wish :ahh:

now that I can long press to get wifi, bluetooth, etc. turned on, it may be a while before I consider flashing a custom rom. I was seriously considering flashing a rom just because of that lol. All Google needs to do now is allow us to change that notification bar battery meter into a percentage and I'll be good on stock..... until I get bored with it.

After a full cycle of battery on 4.2.2, I can't say that I noticed anything different. Not that it bothers me. The battery life has been solid IMO. I used my phone heavily today. A lot of chrome/tapatalk/ruzzle/texts with some YouTube and gmusic sprinkled in. Brightness at around 50. All on hspa+

This is with 54% left in battery

...and this is with Bluetooth listening to music here and there. No much talking on the phone today though.

I notice maybe 2 hours extra from what I normally get under the same conditions and use.

About 3-3 1/2 hours of screen on time is the average battery on my phones stock...I'm on pace to tap out at about 5 hours of screen on time.

Yea you will hit ~5 that's nice. I did hit over 4 on one of the first few days with the phone but that was with me on WiFi all day and playing around/testing/setting up the phone. Didn't do anything too intensive.

When the new phone feeling wears off, I'll probably average around 2 hours screen time a charge so battery won't be a concern
