Pretty stupid article and really does'nt say anything.

1. No one ever said you could'nt do shyt on Chrome OS. We just pointed out that in comparison to a full fledged OS and not one that AS THE ARTICLE POINTS OUT IS FOCUS ON CLOUD COMPUTING, a Chromebook can't really compare. That is fact, not opinion.

2. As for point 2 (internet connection), what we were pointing out was that the benefits being touted become pretty insignificant without one. Who the fukk cares if there's an offline mode???? EVERY fukkING PC HAS AN OFFLINE MODE. IT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE NOT ONLINE!!! AND THEN WHEN YOU GO BACK ONLINE THE WORK YOU BEEN WORKING ON SYNCS UP.

3. Again, you're asking people to pay a premium ($1300 for sub par specs) for things that you can already do via a browser on PCs. Shortening connection times to the net by 3 seconds, or shortening the time it takes to open a browser window to GTalk or even set GTalk to open on Startup is not a valid reason to go with Chrome OS.

This article was fukking pointless and you got your smug "I told you so" face on and you're looking like even more of an idiot.
you are responding to someone who does not see how all manufacturers/networks have contributed to the beast that is Android...It's not even worth typing all that out there.

Chrome could soon end the frustration of hunting for noisy browser tabs

Google’s Chrome browser might soon be getting an easy way to tell you which open tabs are making noise, or recording it. The new feature is part of the latest Chromium build, and features a throbbing EQ animation over the noisy tab’s favicon (video below) to tell you and your system that it’s doing audio stuff. Chromium is the open source project that feeds into Google’s Chrome browser, and is often the first place that its new features show up.

The addition was spotted by François Beaufort, who notes it was designed to help safeguard active tabs from being discarded when system memory runs out. The feature doesn't work on the latest OS X build of Chromium, but we tried it out for ourselves on the Windows version, and while it works with standard audio files and HTML5 video, it won't respond to video in Adobe's Flash Player. It might be a while before we see this added to the mainstream version of Chrome, but what a glorious day it will be when hunting down the source of that mystery sound is as easy as looking for the tab with the moving icon.

u may have to sign up for a free account.

also download a virus protector because some of the apps are viruses.
