5.9-Inch HTC One Max, AKA T6, Shown In Leaked Photo: Looks Like A Gigantic HTC One

It was only a matter of time until HTC stepped up to Samsung and offered a "phablet" of its own, and it looks like that time is drawing close. Chinese site ePrice, source of numerous reliable leaks in the past, has posted a photo of a 5.9-inch HTC device set to take on the Galaxy Note series, Xperia Z Ultra, and the like. According to the post, it's called the HTC One Max, codenamed the T6.

ePrice reports that they've seen both a standard and a Chinese dual-SIM version, but we're not sure which one this is, so take the following specs with a grain of salt. The 5.9-inch screen is full 1080p, just like the One. As you can see it's got the same dual front-facing "BOOMSOUND" speakers as the One and One Mini, albeit a bit elongated on the larger phone. ePrice reports a Snapdragon 800 2.3Ghz processor inside, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The dual-SIM model also has a MicroSD card slot accessible via a removable back plate, but the 3300mAh battery is fixed in place. We've seen at least one similar regional version of the One, so don't get your hopes up for a wide release model with expandable storage.

The "One Max" next to the One (4.7") and One Mini(4.3"), just for comparison - note the relative speaker sizes.

Cameras are the same Ultrapixel/2.1MP front-facing combination as the One, and this phone is a tiny bit beefier at 9.4mm thin. The screen bezel seems to have shrunk a little, but that could certainly be more of a perspective change than anything. Hardware controls remain the same. There's no word on software, but I'd expect a similar mix of Android 4.2 and HTC's Sense.

As usual, treat all this as rumor until we get some harder information. There's no knowing when or if HTC plans to bring a larger One to market, but if I was a betting man, I'd take odds that it's slated for a late fall or early winter debut. It might be intended to go head to head with the third-generation Galaxy Note.
:wtf: Does it come with a duffel bag?

what the fukk did I say

According to reports, Motorola is selling the phone to AT&T at $350, meaning that the carrier subsidy is only $150 since the contract price is the usual $199 we see on new phones.

Most new higher-end phones have higher average selling prices (ASP) than this. We’re all well aware that the iPhone 5, for example, commands over $600, and that a Samsung Galaxy S4 is likely in the mid $500 range.

Selling a phone at a profit makes sense when you are a hardware company like Motorola — but throw Google into the mix and things could change.
Google has been disrupting prices on tablets for a while already, along with Amazon. They are more interested in selling tablets at cost, as evidenced by the low price tag of $229 for the latest Nexus 7. The LG-made but Google-branded Nexus 4 is also sold for as little as $299 (8 GB version), but it hasn’t been very disruptive to the market because it is not widely distributed through carriers.

Now we have the Moto X. It’s going to be widely distributed through five U.S. carriers and if they're paying $350 for the phone (and it's likely they're not all paying the same thing), carriers are making way more money promoting this phone because of lower subsidies. This leaves them with the choice of either dropping the contract pricing much closer to zero, or pushing hard on Samsung and Apple to reduce the ASP on their latest hardware.

Maybe one of you modding/nexus 4 experts can help me.

Im trying to see if i can get my Nexus 4 to run at HSPA speeds, right now its running 3g but I remember at a point sometime ago I had an H in the notification bar.
I dont know if its because I modded my phone or if its a tower thing or what. I just wanna know if i can get back to those speeds
