I actually liked that part
As I stated in the Mediocre MBJ thread....in a way his performance/character allowed for Boseman toat just what Wakanda created.
Once he caught that stab to the gut....he dropped the persona and during that time realize how he blew his chance to take in the beauty of Wakanda. He started talking to him normal and being real.
Also yea Marvel needs to release that longer cut.
All that good character development and probably longer fight scenes on the cutting room floor.
Another thing about MBJ's acting for the part, Killmonger comes off a bit as a try-hard in the comics, so to that note, MBJ actually pulled that off pretty well, to be technically true to the character, lol.

Initially a lot of cats didn’t..... but after years of hearing DC stans boast and brag about getting an Oscar for something as small as best hair (Will Smith rocking a baldy)
It opened up that door to be more acceptable
