Don't need them getting hot to end the game. Regardless of score

Like what the Yanks did in game 2, and won game 3. Atleast with that we we up 2-0 in the series.

Bent a little but didn't break. It's never comforting to see your starter get touched up a bit in the 1st inning, but you know Bieber has the ability to shrug it off and settle right down.

The Julio homer in the first inning was another sequencing mistake. Julio Rodriguez crushes fastballs, (just like Cal Raleigh, Eugenio Suarez and Jorge Polanco btw. )Don't throw them to him, especially if you're ahead in the count.

Shane Bieber/ Alejandro Kirk adjusted later. Fastball percentage was way down - sub-30% when Bieber is usually 40+%

That should have been the game plan heading into the series. It looked like they didn't have one for the first two games. That's on manager John Schneider. So far it seems like They now made adjustments both on offense and defense. Mariners want to pitch in the zone. You gotta attack them, which is what we did last night.

Like I said, the Jays pitchers should mostly feed the Mariners sliders, curves, and changeups-that way they'll often strike out.

Make sure there are a lot of swings and misses in their at-bats.

What I noticed about Seattle is they really have a trend of swinging at borderline pitches. You notice Bieber went really heavy on the off-speed stuff after that 1st inning homer. If I’m Kirk I’m calling another heavy off-speed game, Seattle hammers fastballs and you saw last night what an effective breaking ball can do to their line-up.

Another thing, would not be shocked if J.S goes to Bassitt early on if Scherzer gives up a bunch of runs early. I know you don’t want to kill your bullpen but you really don’t want to just give a game away here.
