@Grano-Grano Whole thread is going to be trash, they're Sigma Pi Phi, a Black Greek-letter organization, with noted similarities to Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha collegiate Greek-letter organizations.
They're compromised almost entirely of upper-middle class to upper-class African-Americans who are white-collar professionals and/or entrepreneurs.
They act as a giant Black network and social organization, and have fairly illustrious alumni, Dr. MLK Jr. Thurgood Marshall, WEB Dubois, Ron Brown, etc.

Most of this misinformation is going to come from non-Greek-letter brehs, or seemingly bitter non-college graduates. Research is fairly easy, or you could go to their website, talk to a APA/AKA, check out one of the few good books, etc.

One of the few good books on the subject, though the author is lazy with organization, as well as some of the "rich Black people want to be White" rhetoric that you only hear from poor or working-class Blacks who have incredibly limited exposure with the Black upper-class.

Tariq "Never Went to College" Nasheed is probably one of the WOAT sources for information about the Boule, its incredibly unlikely that he's met any of them, or had any extended relationships with someone in the Greek-letter organization.
I'd trust Dr. Sebi with a cure for the miserable condition we live in, before I'd listen to a "mack" talk about upper-class Black social groups :deadrose:

True, but listening to a former pimp gossip about an organization he, himself, has no real understanding of is easier. Most of these dudes, I'm convinced, get all of their news from Tariq and Instagram, so yeah...this thread will be "interesting."

I wouldn't equate some of the members to the organization as a whole, trust me, they work the same as most large scale member organizations do: they have social outings around the world, they network heavily, invest in each other, and make sure to put each other on when necessary. You'll find Black BigLaw partners, doctors and surgeons, tech moguls, business-people, engineers, political leaders, and a lot more among the ranks.

Basically, though it is separate from the Divine Nine (or 10 if you count Iotas :mjlol:) as you alluded to. As a Greek member, I certainly didn't get taught any info about them while pledging, so all I learned was my own research years later. However, I think most that are part of the Boule are members of other black college Greek organizations. I don't know everything about them, but people making rash generalizations about an organization they know nothing about sounds much like how people make the same assumptions and generalizations about my or other black Greek organizations.

So you want to be in the Boule?
