This game could truly just be just ok, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Reviewers who played the game aren’t wrong for not rating it as highly as generation defining games lol

No. It’s about the reasons they rate it the way they do. The game is literally getting criticized for shyt other games get praised for. If there was something wrong with the core mechanics I can see it. But u can’t criticize this open world game for lack of story while u praise games like Elden Ring and BOTW and they suffer from the same issue. U can’t say a game isn’t long enough after u spent 120+ hours rushing thru it and still haven’t finished it. U can’t complain about bosses being too hard when u admit u didn’t loot or anything to build ur character up before u faced them. U gotta use discernment when it comes to these reviews my guy. It’s not just about the score. It’s about what’s inside the review that tells the story. U also gotta look at the person who is rating the game’s history. These people will get someone who doesn’t like the genre to give a review on the game. IGN is notorious for this type of shyt. They pulled that shyt with their Code Veronica Remaster review. The dumb chick who reviewed it gave it like a 4/10 meanwhile IGN themselves gave the original game like a 9.5 when it came out. But the person they had review it wasn’t a fan of older RE games and didn’t understand the mechanics at all.

Woke up on the fence about picking up my preorder or canceling it. I feel the fukkery online this weekend will be worth it just to be part of the discussion and provide my own personal take. its kind of funny that people still deny MC/numbers narrow your perception of something. For example, Xenoblade is a 9/10 on mc, i swear if it were rated a 7/10 no one would argue it. That game is as bland as sugarless oatmeal and people praise it to high heaven.

I’ve had way more fun with this game than i had the 50 hours or so playing that game.

People will say shyt like Botw and Botw2: skypeia arc are perfect games. Meanwhile trash story, run like trash unless you pay 80 for s2 version, dated literal wii u games. Weapons breaking. Ubisoft ass collecthon open world. Piss easy shallow combat.

People will tell you these are games not meant to just have you wander around meaninglessly though.

These along with bg3 are the most overrated games of all time. If this game let you fukk a bear and had a flamboyant gay vampire it would be at least 10 points higher

Not just souls like. Look at a game like Breath Of The Wild. Game got called a masterpiece for the exact shyt this game is getting knocked for. This is why u can’t look at a score. U gotta look at the actual content of the review and see if it’s gonna be a game for u. These reviewers are highly full of shyt. Lol

I'll probably need to emulate that BoTW eventually, but I hear ya. Plus, content creators seem to agree that the game is good, but buggy. But you can't trust no one these days. Steam offers refunds, so Im good to try it
