I need to say something about all these people who are complaining about the lions letting go of Caldwell. You simply don't watch the games. We back into these records. We beat bad teams and can't beat good teams. That's the point. So many things happen during the course of games that we have seen inexplicable things that only the lions and their coaches are capable of. That team did what it did because of the coordinators. We kept getting winning records because we kept getting easy schedules.

Toub's the best special teams coach in the history of special teams. The punt return touchdown play the bears ran yesterday, Toub designed in like 2008.
Yeah, good for him. :russ: @ designed. Get that lil giants gimmick shyt outta here. I am not entrusting Andrew Luck to a Special Teams/former strength coach.

Black coaches are getting fired without justification.

Caldwell is not the reason Matt Stafford is still making mistakes and holding back his Detroit's offense. Lewis is not the reason Andy Dalton struggles in Cincinnati. Both these QBs were mediocre before Caldwell and Lewis. Stafford has killed another coach.

What makes you say the coordinators deserve the credit for their success instead of Jim? No beef, honest question

The DC (who is black) managed to coach up a nice secondary and had an opportunistic defense this year, but overall wasn't given the tools he needed. No pass rush this year. I wouldn't say he propped Caldwell up recently.

On the flip side Caldwell actively harmed the offense for four years. First OC was a historic disaster. Second was better but implemented a simple baby offense due to Caldwell. No focus on run game. In fact Caldwell outright stated he didn't need to focus on the run game.

Caldwell is similar to Fisher in the sense that he's a dinosaur of the past who refuses to change with the times. It's time to move on or we'll win 7-9 games yearly thanks to weak schedules. BTW if Caldwell stayed I wouldn't be stunned if we won 10 next year because teams that miss the playoffs get a weaker strength of schedule. And then the next year we'd win like 8 games, miss the playoffs, and be in the same position again. No more.

I am jealous of all you getting new coaches.

Meanwhile, we stick with the clapping Ivy League genius.
