i havent done any kind of exercise in about 6 months, how can i ease into it again? , my clothes been shrinking :mjcry:

Don't ease into it is my best advice. It's probably a bit easier for me to say since I actually work at a gym. And I'm surrounded by so many motivated and determined individuals who inspire me but prior to working at golds..I never really did excercise. My first week working at golds I worked out like twice then skipped 3 days . Then when I went back I wasn't putting in all I could have. But since then, I been practically going every single day. Sometimes twice.

You need to make a habit of it. When you first start workin out, even if you don't want to..force yourself to. I skipped a day the other day because I worked 4-close (my gym closes at 11 mon-thurs) and I was really busy before work so I couldn't get a work out in (besides some squats on our squat machine) and honestly..it really fukked with me mentally and emotionally. I need that work out daily or it throws me off.

Easing your self into it just leaves space and time for excuses. Go hard or don't do it at all is my best advice.

This is the routine I worked on this morning. The jumping jacks :sadcam:

6 push-ups
6 bicep curls
6 tricep kickbacks
30 sec jumping jacks
1 min Hula Hoop
Rest 1 min
6 bent over rows
6 over head press
30 sec jumping jacks
1 min Hula Hoop
Rest 1 min

Repeat for a total of 5 times.

Does anyone know if those Boost plus drinks are healthy? I take them occasionally for extra calories, but I buy the store brand kind cause a sista is struggling.
Looking at the nutritional information, I would say no. Are you allergic to seeds/nuts? If not try that instead. You can get them in bulk anywhere from $14-20 and it lasts a long time.

I joined a new gym for the summer and they offered me a free Bod Pod body fat scan/measurement. I go in tomorrow. This will be the first time I have my body fat measured so I very interested (and nervous to) in seeing the results.

Haven't been in this thread in a while. I still go to the gym. Not as much as I used to tho. The whole schedule change thing was a great reason for me to slack :beli: But I'm going back tomorrow.

Also, all these summer holidays and BBQ's every weekend are testing me :ohlawd:

Just got my body fat measurement. I'll be honest and say that my percentage is slightly higher than expected since I lift. I thought that I would be 25% max.

This did help me with my summer fitness goal. I plan to try to lose 3-5 pounds of fat and gain 3-5 pounds of muscle (but we shall see).

Doing HIIT on the elliptical is nuts but works and does running...about to fire my trainer because I'm getting better results without him.

I need to start working out again but I'm just going to do strength and weight lifting, no cardio.

I gained about 15 lbs and my boobs are looking so plump :ahh:, don't want to lose that.
 
Top
