I gotta agree with the threadstarter....it just goes to show how corny a lot of hiphop fans are that they don't like reality and in a lot of cases don't live in the realitys they claim to wanna hear nikkas rap about..

Kinda reminds me of how sum people like scary movies but don't wanna see movies like Exorcist becuz "its too damn real" and that shyt really can happen....perfectly fine watching Freddy and Jason but we ain't tryna sit in no room by ourself watchin no movie about satan

Some rap fans like that too with the music.....they cool with the violence until shyt gets "its too real" and they realize the shyt really can happen...even though you know it can happen and does everyday what's goin on in Chicago makes u really think about it....just like watchin Exorcist makes u think about how u can be possesed by a demon fa real at any time

But it ain't fair to Keef,Reese to not wanna see they movement bcuz you happen to know what's goin on in chicago and its "too real"...I been waitin on sum nikkas to come with that hard shyt for a minute and they doin it....im ain't a fan I wouldn't say but I check from time to time for sum tracks...Reese might have a future in my rotation.

plus hordes of guilty pleasures that many so-called fake toys playing dress up.
who front like they are so culturally enriched. while faking jax, are not brave.
or welled in the culture of this music to even note similaroties or ideals of quality music. even when they did not like the artists.
i have given all my reasoning in detail as to why i liked or fell out of favor with said artist.

As a whole, I don't think Rap/Hip-Hop music fans know what they want from an artist.

We're so much more concerned about what artists do outside the studio now to the point that their music becomes a nonfactor.

Multiple threads about these dudes "realness" but no discussion of their actual lyricism or skills on the mic. I don't listen to their shyt and I wouldn't even know what to check for because we're too worried about discussing their street cred?

When they figured out most rap fans didn't care about skills and cared much more about images and stories, like pro wrestling, this is what we've been reduced to.
