Show kinda loses it’s intensity when you realize damn near everybody has legendary plot armor.

Like how many fakeout deaths have we had? Allen, Kate, ant man chick, angstrom, Donald, Martian dude, and now it happened to eve & conquest. I’m pretty sure Rex & the mauler twins are the only established characters to have actually died so far but even they survived similar experiences in previous seasons because medical technology in this show is basically magic. Regular ass people like Debbie & Cecil got horribly maimed but they’re just up & around like nothing happened

Call me a hater but I liked the last couple of episodes, it’s just weird how it’s so violent with people praising its story when it’s actually pretty toothless with DBZ plot contrivances. It’s like all the civilian deaths(that the heroes barely give af about) are partly there to trick the audience that there’s barely any stakes regarding the main cast.

does invincible have a shot of becoming "bigger" than just the comics?.. more seasons than just "source material? multiple spinoffs? movies?

I def think they can turn this into a whole movie verse like marvel.
- they would have to turn the violence down for the movies tho. Which could ruin the grimey aspect of the story
A cinematic universe would've worked but I think they would've had to lean into the gore & grimey aspect of the story. That would've separated them from the standard Marvel/DC superhero stories. Honestly, a big part of the season 1 success was when Omniman gruesomely killed the Guardians, that was the point the show reactions went crazy.

Well.

They are now doing more comics after the series went dormant after completion so that's a start. They are doing a battle beast spinoff comic.

There's a lot of comics in the invincible universe that aren't being adapted in this series, guardians of the globe, britt (really it's a britt, cecil and donald comic), tech jacket, wolf man, etc.

There's also comics related to invincible that aren't quite in the invincible universe that could be adapted in this style and I think could possibly be as good, or you could make it a universe linked to it, like savage dragon.

So the potential is there but i doubt theyll do numbers like invincible has.

The death toll had to be well over 100,000. It was like 50 9/11s taking place back to back

Man what’s the point of even being alive in this universe. Mfs were taking vacation at the beach and shyt. I ain’t gone lie, I’d probably be on drugs patiently waiting for the day a skyscraper falls on me. fukk working a 9-5 or starting a family

I love how when Conquest is monologuing beating the shyt out of Mark some guy just casually falls to his death 5 feet away from them like it might as well have been a random street lamp falling with amount of apathy they paid towards it.

When people dream of living in these super hero worlds they always dream of being the heroes and not the cannon fodder pedestrians that are just constantly getting exploded, decapitated, mutilated, burnt, etc. this is how MCU is also, they just don’t show it.

living in a superhero world is worse than living in Berserk world. People on this earth should be bunker status.
