No Whammies!!
The elephant in the room on this show is still that Mark is the worst character on his own show. He's horribly written and it looks like Oliver is going to suffer the same fate.

He dad makes it clear to him if you don't fight viltrumites to kill them they will kill you because they are killers. Then he watches them pretty much kill his dad. Fast forward to Conquest pulling up and he's fighting like him the exact way his dad told him not to fight viltrumites. That's horrible character development/bad writing. We've already established viltrumites are kill or be killed status are mark never moved like he was trying to kill Conquest until Eve and Oliver were laying there on life support.

I don't agree. He wasn't actually holding back early on in the episode...he punched Conquest over and over again until he was literally too tired to punch him any more. It just wasn't enough to have an effect.

Look at how Omni man fought viltrumites vs how Mark fights them. Nolan knows what he has to do. Not even with the strength differences does Mark fight like he needs to kill viltrumites when he knows and has been told that he does. It's bad character development at this point. It's season 3 and everyone around him is growing but he's not.

It's all goes back to the Cecil thing. You can be the good guys or you can save the world. Talking trash and not killing the earth villain jobbers is one thing but viltrumites are the final boss and he's still in subdue them mode.

Darkblood got sent back to hell by Cecil and now he’s gonna use Conquest as a host for the Devil himself

Is it Conquest who is going to be the host...or is it Mark himself?
I took it that the demons sensed that that Mark is now willing to kill people, and that they could use this new fact to corrupt him to evil.

A lot of black women i've spoken to about this show fukking hate Eve. i watched the finale with my cousin, who's dating a white man, and she was super vocal about how she hates eve and fast forwards through all her scenes. she was jumping up and down when she got punched through :mjtf:

I'm like "why do you hate Eve, wtf did she do" and she was juelzing because she can't just come out and say it's cuz she's white and amber, who sucked and got kicked to the curb, was black. :mjlol:

not sure but it makes more sense that mark would have to fight satan rather than become him

I don't see how Mark can suddenly be capable of fighting like a Viltrumite like his father, who has had Viltrumite training and been in battle for thousands of years. Unless we're somehow implying that Mark can become more powerful than any Viltrumite ever.

Enjoyed the finale, looking forward to future seasons.

I do have one complaint though - not trying to sound like a soccer mom here but I do think the violence is getting overly gratuitous, even for this show. Yes, it's for adults and they can do that kind of thing, but I do think they go kind of overboard with it. At a certain point all that gore becomes unenjoyable to watch - I found myself skipping certain scenes on rewatch because I'm not really trying to see anybody's head caved in.

I feel the same

Anytime they kill civilians just to do it I'm like ugh

And it's just for shock value, no weight to it

I wasn't spoiled when I originally wrote this, but...

I actually slightly preferred episode 7....BUT I find myself watching youtube "reaction" videos of this episode over, and over, and over :mjlol:.
I feel JUST like I did when I was a little kid and friends will recap all the action scenes in "Clash of the Titans", or "Terminator", or whatever movie they had seen.

They didn't needs to re-do the "face dragging" scene from the first season. Seeing the people on the beach getting killed by the shockwaves was sufficient :manny:
