Trump has “unique opportunity” to effect change in Middle East, says former NATO commander

From CNN’s Rhea Mogul
US President Donald Trump “has a unique opportunity that no president has had before to really effect dramatic change” in the Middle East following American strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, a former NATO supreme allied commander has told CNN.

“The US military is very confident,” said retired Gen. Wesley Clark, a CNN analyst. “I don’t expect the military to do anything in the next 24 or 48 hours. We are going to have to wait, probably on the Iranian response, but I do hope that we have people working underneath this, talking to lower-level people inside Iran and getting their sense of things.”

He added the US strikes leave the Middle East in “a very, very volatile and uncertain time.”

There is “no surprise about the B-2 strikes in terms of their ability to hit the target,” Clark said. “Of course, we don’t know what they have actually done to the target.”

“I just hope that the president will use the momentum and the dominance that he has achieved to really push this regime.”

:what:

You’re off base.

The U.S. intelligence community, not just opinions online, straight up said Iran hasn’t restarted a nuclear weapons program. In March 2025, Tulsi Gabbard, you know, the Director of National Intelligence, testified that Iran isn’t building a nuke, and their leadership hasn’t greenlit anything. That’s the top of the food chain saying that. What was it a day or two ago trump straight up said she’s wrong? Dude is clearly unhinged and following something else other than the guidance of his own intelligence
Director. Can you really defend this insanity?

On top of that, IAEA inspectors have been on the ground and consistently reported no evidence of Iran weaponizing anything, just enrichment for energy. And Iran’s Supreme Leader put out a fatwa back in 2003 declaring nukes forbidden in Islam, and he’s repeated that stance multiple times, even to the IAEA.

So if you’re still yelling “they’re building a bomb,” you’re either ignoring the actual evidence or just regurgitating the same fear mongering nonsense that’s been used to justify dumb wars before. Again, smarten, up.
☑#Hasheesh is a carpet gliding MAGAt sympathizer, of course he's in here regurgitating Trump lies as usual :russ:

They not gon do shyt brotha
I wouldn't say that bro.

It may not be that they are gassing up fighter jets and tanks as we speak, this retaliation will be done in other ways.

According to my Iranian friends, Iran doesn't care about the citizens, so there's pretty much nothing to lose in their leadership minds. Let's start with gas going uo astronomically

Netanyahu held five-hour meeting with top Israeli officials throughout US strikes

From CNN’s Eugenia Yosef
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a five-hour meeting with his top officials that lasted throughout the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, according to a source familiar with the meeting.

The security cabinet meeting began at 10 p.m. local time (3 p.m. ET) and continued until the US carried out its strikes at approximately 3 a.m. local time (8 p.m. ET). The discussion ended after the US strikes, the source said.

A second source had previously told CNN that Israel held a security cabinet meeting to monitor the US bombing mission.

The meeting, which consisted of the senior officials involved in Israel’s handling of Iran, included a number of those closest to Netanyahu, the source said. Netanyahu confidant Ron Dermer was a part of the meeting, as were Defense Minister Israel Katz and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.

Israel’s military chief of staff and the head of its Mossad spy agency were also part of the meeting. Far-right Minster of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich participated as well.

‘Iranian allies and proxies may not wait for attack order from Tehran’

Shahram Akbarzadeh, the director of the Middle East Studies Forum at Deakin University in Australia, says there is a “very real concern” of regional war following the US strikes.
He told Al Jazeera that, while Iran has made it clear that it has a right to respond, its allies in the region may not wait for official orders.
“There are so many Iranian allies and proxies in the region who may not wait for an attack order from Tehran, who may take it upon themselves to hit at US assets in the region,” he said.
“And there are plenty of US assets in region,” he said.

I actually don’t think Muslims will be the ones needing to watch their back this time.

I think people are more pissed at who the Muslims are fighting and who dragged us into this war.

Israel is building up an LGBT-type of resentment against them in this country.
