Pakistan’s UN envoy condemns US a day after Trump Nobel Peace Prize nomination

“Pakistan has condemned the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities”, its ambassador to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, has told the UNSC.
“The sharp rise in tensions and violence as a result of the Israeli aggression and unlawful actions is profoundly disturbing, any further escalation risk catastrophic consequences for the region and beyond” he said.
“Pakistan stands in solidarity with the government and brotherly people of Iran during this challenging time”, Ahmad said.
These comments come just a day after Pakistan said it would recommend United States President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Strikes aimed at stopping nuclear threat from Iran, says US representative at UN

The US's representative at the UN Security Council says the country's strikes on Iran were aimed to dismantle the country's nuclear enrichment capacity and stop the "nuclear threat" it poses.

Dorothy Shea says the US's mission was to "eliminate a longstanding but rapidly escalating source of global insecurity" adding: "Iran has long obfuscated its nuclear weapons programme and stonewalls good faith efforts in recent negotiations."

"Any Iranian attack, direct or indirect, against Americans or American bases will be met with devastating retaliation," she added.

She says the UN Security Council must call on the Iranian regime to end its "effort to eradicate the state of Israel, to terminate its drive for nuclear weapons, to stop targeting American citizens and interests, and to negotiated peace".

Iran has previously said its nuclear programme was entirely peaceful and that it had never sought to develop a nuclear weapon.

Looks like Iran will attempt to block the Strait of Hormuz

Does anyone have any news or good info on the china iran railway that was recently completed? Is it as robust and efficient as it’s been described? Still operating after the attack by Israel and the war?

If so, another China W damn, get ready for more supply chain shocks. Especially if Yemen and the houthis are able to disrupt the Red Sea again

Norfeast groovin…
Yup.

If you really want to prevent them getting nuclear weapons at this point you need total war. Which is again, expensive.

They got nuclear power, at least 60% enriched uranium, they simply are not far off.

Facts, and they got enough allies to get em out the way. It would be wise for them to wrap things up and rebuild asap. If you can at least re-establish the status quo then that buys time to upgrade the military and actually complete a weapon for the sake of deterrence.

Also Napoleon crying about “Iran funding terrorists” is funny when Netanyahu and his terrorist cabinet have funded ISIS in the past and admitted to CURRENTLY supporting isis aligned gangs in Gaza.

Can everyone have nukes or only certain countries? Can everyone fund “terrorists” and proxies, or can only the West and Israel?? Which one is it?

Israel supporters are more mentally ill and subsequently DANGEROUS than any blue haired, smelly, nonbinary anarchist could ever be

Breaking

More now from the US president's social media channel. Trump has just posted: "It’s not politically correct to use the term 'Regime Change' but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!"

Earlier, US defence secretary Pete Hegseth said the US strikes were about stopping Iran getting a nuclear weapon - and not about regime change.
