Massive bombshell report from NYT on US classified intel that finds that Irans nuclear program was barely damaged by the war:

This changes the entire reading of how the war went.
Thing is if the bombs didn’t destroy it/cave in the plant then the next thing would be to disrupt the centrifuges mid spin and that’d ruin the yield.

Problem is, those centrifuges were turned off a long time before the American bombing so Iran’s enrichment process is only under minor setback.

Israel outside of a nuclear bomb doesn’t have anything that will disrupt that facility if the GBU-57’s didn’t. If America is offensively out of the conflict then that bomb is getting built.

I’m guessing when Iran tests the bomb everyone will say North Korea or Russia gave it to them.

From the article:

« A preliminary classified U.S. report says the American bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites sealed off the entrances to two of the facilities but did not collapse their underground buildings, according to officials familiar with the findings. »

« The report also said much of Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium was moved before the strikes, which destroyed little of the nuclear material. Some of that may have been moved to secret nuclear sites maintained by Iran. »

‘Put a stop to this carnage’: UN denounces Israel’s war on Gaza

Israeli attacks throughout Gaza have killed at least 86 Palestinians since dawn, medical sources say, as the grim death toll continues to rise.
“The tragic numbers that you referred to speak for themselves as to the horrors of what is going on in Gaza,” UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told a media briefing.
“People are being killed just for trying to get food because of a militarised humanitarian distribution system that meets none of the prerequisites for a functioning, fair, independent and impartial humanitarian system.”
Dujarric added: “It is high time that leaders on both sides find the political courage to put a stop to this carnage.”

This changes the entire reading of how the war went.
There are no winners in war. But Iran gained more than it lost.

  • It now knows who will come to its aid
  • It has justification for not trusting the west or adhering to NPA
  • The Ayatollah and President are wildly popular
  • It can now enrich its uranium and build a bomb (with crystal clear reasoning why)
  • Its enemy is weakened
  • Its enemys allies are isolating it

The lesson is to maybe not blindly believe and follow Israel

Can't wait for that genocidal state to die

If you’re just joining us

It is now 11pm in Palestine and Israel, and 11:30pm in Iran (20:00 GMT). Here’s a recap of the latest developments:
  • The ceasefire between Israel and Iran appears to be holding despite what US President Donald Trump called early violations by both sides.
  • Iranian officials have claimed victory, saying they thwarted Israel’s war goals as people gathered in Tehran to celebrate the ceasefire.
  • Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said “no one in Iran will give up” the country’s nuclear technology.
  • Calls by Palestinians and human rights groups are growing for a ceasefire in Gaza after the end of the 12-day Israel-Iran war.
  • Israel also claimed a “historic victory”, with Prime Minister Netanyahu warning the country “will act” if Iran tries to rebuild its nuclear programme.

My main thesis is two things, either:
1. Trump and the administration knows this war isn’t ending. They just wanted a reason to show Stealth Bombers to rile up his base. Dude is acting surprised but knew that was never going to be the case.

2. Trump really wanted to bring peace to the region, even temporarily to grift that Nobel Prize and now that it’s ruined he’s genuinely pissed.

Either way, I 99% guarantee Republicans and MAGA don’t want Americans to fight in this war. If Americans die then 2026/2028 is done for. They know this.

US strikes in Iran degraded Iran's ability to develop a nuclear weapon, US ambassador tells UN

From CNN’s Hira Humayun
The US strikes in Iran over the weekend degraded Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons, the US ambassador to the United Nations told the Security Council Tuesday.

“On June 21st, a US precision operation effectively fulfilled our narrow objective: to degrade Iran’s capacity to produce a nuclear weapon,” Dorothy Shea said.

The strikes were in line with the “inherent right to collective self-defense” and aimed to mitigate the threat Iran posed to the region, Shea said.

House briefing on Iran moved to Friday after White House postpones for "evolved circumstances"

From CNN's Alayna Treene and Alison Main
House Speaker Mike Johnson said House members will receive a classified briefing Friday on the situation in Iran after it was postponed on Tuesday.

“I have just confirmed with the White House that the classified bipartisan briefing for all House Members will now be held on Friday. Senior Administration officials will present the latest information pertaining to the situation involving Israel and Iran. Details to follow,” Johnson said on X.

The White House on Tuesday cited “evolved circumstances” in the Middle East for its decision to delay previously scheduled congressional briefings with intelligence officials regarding the Israel-Iran conflict and US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

“Due to evolved circumstances as a result of recent positive developments in the Middle East, the previously scheduled briefings for Senators is being postponed to this Thursday,” the White House said in a statement.

Also if the facility was really that badly damaged you’re not going to get an assessment within 3 days to even a week unless it’s absolutely destroyed :mjlol::heh:

If it’s however aesthetically or superficially damaged you can get a better read that things are functioning quicker.

Think of how big that facility is. Someone saying it’s been devastated after 2 hours because of satellite images is very unreliable.
