We don’t know what the US president is thinking​

We don’t know what Trump is talking about.
We don’t know if the president knows what the president is talking about, to be honest. These people spend day in and day out trying to decipher their president because they want to tell the influential elites of the US what their president is thinking, and they don’t know what he’s thinking. I don’t know what he’s thinking.
Now, part of it could be because he wants everyone to be guessing. And then he has a bit of an ego, and he likes the attention. Everyone wants to know what Trump wants to do, and Trump kind of revels in that.
But then there is the real tragedy: the war continues, there is no end in sight, we don’t know what is going to happen next, and everyone seems to think that the keys are in his hands, he just doesn’t know which door to open.

Iran summons German ambassador over ‘offensive remarks’: Iranian media​

Iran’s semiofficial Mehr news agency says that Germany’s ambassador to Iran has been summoned over “offensive remarks” from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Merz said on Tuesday that Israel is doing “the dirty work” for Western nations by fighting Iran and praised the “courage” of the Israeli army and leadership for their decision, despite a strong consensus among legal scholars that Israel’s unprovoked strikes against Iran violate international law.
Iran also summoned the Swiss ambassador in Tehran, which functions as a representative on behalf of the US, to express ire over Trump’s remarks on Tuesday that Iran must offer “unconditional surrender”.

They see American soldiers dying for Israel and a whole lot of tax dollars, that just changes tunes. Not to mention those incoming Chinese students Trump made a negotiation for and immigration being no better than under Biden.

Plus it’ll be Vance and not Trump running. I don my think Vance got the aura to hold a war with young American blood on his hands. They’ll take one look at his Brown wife make the Israel-India connection and turn their backs.

Trump brings a war and it’s over for them in 2026/2028.

You're using logic, but the problem is that it's cult so logic doesn't apply.

Maybe if Trump is dead by 2028 the cult will start to dissipate, but otherwise they'll vote for whoever Trump endorses.

UN Security Council to hold meeting on Friday​

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on the Israel-Iran conflict at 10am in New York (14:00 GMT) on Friday.
Earlier, we reported that Iran had requested the meeting after it said the situation “has dangerously escalated due to mounting and undeniable evidence of direct US involvement in this unlawful campaign”.
Iran’s request was supported by Russia, China, Pakistan and Algeria.

Portion of Israeli leadership ‘made up of criminals’​

Croatia’s president said that a portion of Israeli leadership is “made up of criminals” and Israel is pursuing “a criminal policy” with the support of Washington.
“Israel is pursuing a criminal policy and we should not have anything to do with such a state because part of its leadership is made up of criminals,” Zoran Milanovic told reporters in the Croatian capital of Zagreb.
He said Israel “can do whatever it wants, it has been doing so for decades”.
“It is simply a criminal policy that leads nowhere and which, unfortunately, has the support of Washington.”

Trump says he believes Iran was "a few weeks away" from nuclear weapon​

President Donald Trump said today that he believes Iran was “a few weeks away” from having a nuclear weapon, laying out a doomsday scenario if that came to pass.

“I’ve been saying for 20 years, maybe longer, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I’ve been saying it for a long time, and I think they were a few weeks away from having one,” he said.

“Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon, too much devastation. And they’d use it,” he added. “You know, I believe they’d use it. Others won’t use it, but I believe they’d use it. So that’s it. It’s very simple.”

The comments come as the administration has sent mixed signals on what intelligence it has around Iran’s nuclear progress.

Trump’s claim contradicts findings from intelligence community: Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, testified in March that the US intelligence community “continues to assess Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized a nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003.”

CNN reported earlier this week that US intelligence assessments had indicated that Iran was not actively pursuing a nuclear weapon, and further, was up to three years away from being able to produce and deliver one to a target of its choosing, according to four people familiar with the assessment.
