This feels more like an album. Is there a Drama Free version in higher quality? :damn:

As far as Banks, there werent too many MCs I was excited about when they first appeared....last one comes to mind is Canibus. Like Canibus, I think he suffered from not having the best direction as far as production. Sometimes it aint about if the beat is hot but does it fit the MC or capture the feel of the lyrics? Anyway...this shyt here bangin harder than most of his other tapes. I am kinda partial to CC2.

So V5 was actually the last Banks tape I really listened to. I kinda missed out on CC2 and V6.

How would you all order V5, V6, CC2, and FNO? I obviously need to listen to CC2 and V6 (I have them downloaded, but I need to listen).

One more stupid question from someone that missed out on about V5 to now...is V5 when Banks starting going for less punchlines and rapping with a slightly higher pitch? I don't hate it all, I'm just curious when the change started. I know I noticed it on V5 way more than the 5 and Better series.

I've only listened to this once so I won't rate FNO just yet.

Me personally, V6 has a SLIGHT edge, (prolly cuz I got outta prison right before the summertime -- I'll explain later) then it's Cold Corner 2, then V5.

The lyrics are there throughout all these tapes, but V6 is more polished, refined & up-to-date flow, stylin Banks. :stylin:

Cold Corner 2 is just what it sounds like. More cold, introspective, gritty Banks. :wow:

V5 is less polished, still lyrical...but at a point where Banks was still finding himself "swag" wise, if that makes sense. This was more of a mixtape's mixtape. Less of an album feel like the other two and FNO. :blessed:

To me, V6 and CC2 are tied, but I kept more songs off of V6. Let me put it like this...if it's summertime or you in a more upbeat mood, you wanna rock with V6. If you brooding, it's Timbo season and you wanna spark one and think, throw on that CC2. V5 like a combination of both. You're a CaC though, so you probably wanna start with "Keep Your Cool" on CC2, cuz I can definitely see you on some :cape: shyt :umad:

That's the type of answer I was looking for. I like the darker shyt so I think I'll bump CC2 first...I just started with that Keep Your Cool.

Banks might be the biggest pimp rapper ever. He may not be in your face about it like Don Magic Juan, but I've never heard anyone go so consistently hard on females over his entire career.

Man Banks really should try and do some type of Indy thing. I think he'd do very well. I mean he probably does well anyways, but CC2, V6, and FNO all have original production, are long enough to be LPs, and deserve better than a Datpiff release.

V5, CC2, V6, FNO

To me, Banks gets better and better. I remember saying after he announced V6 he couldn't top CC2 but the mixtape really grew on me.

To be honest, V5 had the best punchlines but it didn't strike me as album quality like the next three.

FNO got better punchlines than CC2 and V6 though :to:

I forgot what song it was but he said somethin like:

"Streets swinging like freak couples" haaa :whew:

V5 will always be my favorite project of his. From that through this mixtape, everything has been album quality. Like I said before, I hope he's getting paid from all this. :whoo:
