im the only nas fan that is slightly worried about a 12-16 track nas album totally produced by prem? I just dont know if hes got 15 in him for nas like that to be up to the standard

say what you want about hit. hit is amazingly versatile and thats one of the reasons it worked

I have shaky faith in Preemo unfortunately. Especially after the Define My Name track came out…I ain’t trying to hear tired scratches for hooks with 90’s sounding boom bap beats after the versatility that Hit gave Nas. I know Nas will deliver on his part, but Preemo hasn’t really been making anything that has moved me in years. Hoping I’m wrong though.

If it's mid, it's mid. :yeshrug:

Nas and Hit set the bar really high with their run. I don't expect Premier to do crazy extravagant lush beats with multiple switches like Hit did, not really his style. But if its a 12 track album, give me 6-7 songs that are bangers and I'll be satisfied

Man idk why some of you dudes are worried.

Nas cooked up a great album in Magic 3 in about a month. Him and Preme have had at least 1.5 years (from the moment Define My Name dropped) to cook something special. Nas and Preme aren't some oblivious dudes. They know the convo, hype and pressure involved in delivering this album.

Nas has never needed complex, mind blowing beats in order to cook. His voice itself is the main instrument. When Nas' rhymes and flows are on point, it doesnt even matter what the beat sounds like (see the Omerta). Preme just has to make sure he provides the best landscape possible for Nas to do his thing over. With that said, I'm sure Preme will provide some crazy beats too with the ill scratches.

I’m not worried in the slightest. If Nas says now is the time for a Premier album then NOW is the time goddamnit. Plus Nas isn’t going to put out some mid when Slick fukking Rick just put out a stellar album after TWENTY FIVE years on Nas’s label.

yep. I have

1. KD2
2. Magic
3.KD3
4.KD1
5.Magic 2
6.Magic 3
I think that's my order too. They should have dumped more money and attention and all that good shh!t into KD2. that was "the" album out of all of them, imo...like the one that could be big and worldly, it just had that feel. KD1 kinda did too but not like KD2. The shh!t with Lauryn should have been the single man...

I think we gonna have mixed feelings with this one. I think the general consensus will be the album is fire and nas is always at his truest form but if we focused already on comparing, it will be split. Those that like old school nas from the dj clue days will put this album above all the hit boy albums. The other side will say hitboy run they enjoyed more. Either way, I think we gonna be lit with this one. It will be special and continue to show he’s the goat. No debating
