If Premo can atleast have beats like this on Nas shyt it would be dope.

He gave these Korean cats some pure heat so I know he can bless Nas with something.

It's unlikely but I hope Premo has saved some beats over the years specifically for top tier rappers (Nas, Jay, etc), like Ghost did for SC2. Just stashing a few things away that rappers weren't buying or couldn't afford. He's dropped a couple albums of unreleased beats so we know he has a vault. I get that there will be new beats on there, I just hope some were saved just in case he got the Nas or Jay call. Well he got the Nas call...

And he knows exactly what they sound best over. Jay sounds best over horns, for instance. And Nas sounds best over hard ass drums.

Yo I was listening to Living Proof earlier and imagining Nas spitting on some wavy hard shyt like that. Prime Nas would've went crazy on that shyt. lol.

I’m not worried in the slightest. If Nas says now is the time for a Premier album then NOW is the time goddamnit. Plus Nas isn’t going to put out some mid when Slick fukking Rick just put out a stellar album after TWENTY FIVE years on Nas’s label.
alright but thats the standard for slick rick, cuz as much as that album was cool.....if that album was Nas' youd be mad AF at it, you dont get to be the GOAT without really high standards

idk for me i gotta see it

Premier himself has said he saves beats for Nas, Jay, etc. this was during the Hip Hop Is Dead era so of course things could have changed but Premier knows Nas and of course knows their history and knows the expectations so i’m sure he’s not going to give anything less than 150% his best.

Slick Rick makes Slick Rick music and Nas makes Nas music. The point isn’t to compare the music but the EFFORT. Nas has been around Slick Rick, Raekwon, Ghostface, Havoc & Alc, and De La Soul. They’ve all entrusted Nas to oversee albums that, in some, shape, form or fashion will set the tone for the later part of their legacies. Slick gave EFFORT. Raekwon gave EFFORT. Ghost is giving EFFORT. I don’t foresee Nas and Premier giving anything less than their absolute best.

I love the Rae album. Its been in my rotation since it dropped. Rae, Gibbs & Alc and Clipse are my top 3 for the year so far. I have high hopes for Ghostface after the two singles even though he’s already admitted a lot of the songs are old songs he’s been saving specifically for SC2.

Tried loving JID, only “like” it. Not as cohesive or enjoyable as The Forever Story, which truly felt like a star being born.
I cant believe I named a Wiz album as a top album of year btw, blows my mind lol. production just outta this world

yeah I get it but idk loved the JID album mostly, freddie shyt too repetitive for me bar wise tho alc production a1

Freddie is 100% repetitive and thats why I can’t put it at number 1 but the shyt is banging can’t front. Ensalada is a contender for song of the year.

Trying to make out what Nas and Ras Kass were talking about. Lol

Seems like Ras asked about the Preme album and Nas said something about "shyt got me trying to figure some shyt out". Ras replied with "i'm excited for it... we all are". Nas then said "I hope you fukk with it, man"

Idk lol
