I haven't read through this thread because it's way too long. So I'll just say my peace. I really enjoyed the Live 18 demo. I enjoyed the my player mode more so than I did the last couple of attempts by 2K. And I maxxed out to Lvl 20 on the demo by playing the online 5v5. I couldn't get a decent enough team together to beat Chris Smoove or LSK's overpowered ass teams. But I did do some damage in the 5v5 so I was happy with that. I do think that 2K's graphics are better. 2K's "2K" camera is also better. But overall I really enjoyed the demo and I plan on buying the game.

2K16 was the first 2K game I'd played since maybe 2K12 or 2K11 I can't remember so I was excited to jump back into it after a hiatus. What I found was some familiar gameplay, which I appreciated, and online dominated by VC built create a players. I just couldn't stomach it. Maybe some folks don't see anything wrong with VC, but I don't like that 2K allows people to play online with characters they have created essentially using real world cash to raise their attributes. From what I've seen of Live, they aren't planning on doing that. I'm not sure what the consensus is on TheColi, but for me, no VC is almost enough reason for me by itself to buy Live over 2K.

uhhh u do know that u dont have to play mypark or whatever til u feel like it right? i didnt play mypark on 16 til i had like 150k vc from playing regular online matches. Plus the fact that u cant even upgrade your player past 88 until u do practices and play in my career slows down even the vc buyers. People who make this argument must just not be that good or something because i was giving dudes that work with a 88 balanced SG for the longest.

Any time anyone critiques a sports game you got fanboys running in talm'bout how they must just suck at the game. That right there is a huge reason why these games start to get stale. Dialogue just gets shut down because fanboys try and explain every criticism away.

I've been playing 2K every year since it was Dreamcast and even I can be objective when evaluating Live. It's a good game. Besides, I don't like how we're gonna ignore the fact that 2K17 had 6/7 patches within the first 3 months. The game we have now is absolutely nothing like it was on release day. shyt was borderline broken

Yea bruh, I feel the same way. 2K17 is COMPLETELY different game than it was at release. The CPU AI went from worse ever for 2K to the best ever in 2K, I just started a My League a week ago and shyt has been dope as fukk. They move the ball well in half court, stars isolate or use picks better than ever, THEY ACTUALLY SHOOT OFF THE DRIBBLE FROM MID RANGE AND FROM 3, and they don't force dumbass passes anymore.


Live 18 is a solid game so far, but it need A LOT of work. Its too easy to score in the paint and from the perimeter for one. Um sure they can tweak that sooner or later. No, I'm not buying this shyt, but its far from a horrible game.

But when you go through my player and build up your attributes and you come out with 60+ rated player only to go online and see other dudes playing that's got 90s because they money cheesed, that shyt ain't my cup of tea. So I'm out. If you wanna build up your VC while people that pay extra enjoy parts of the game that you paid for but essentially can't play because you've been put behind a pay wall, be my guest. I choose not to. I'm not sure what you can't understand about that.

EA are trying, at least. They're patching the demo on the fly which is unheard of because they want to have the game as close to "finished" by the time the actual game comes out next month. They're using the demo for its actual purpose and taking into account user feedback so they can improve everything we have issues and if they carry on with this trend, Live 19 is gonna be really good.

I don't have to play basketball games. I'm playing Breath of the Wild right now. I'm good. Other people may act like they can't go without playing these games, but I'm a grown man with other shyt to do. As for 2K, It's funny that you are admitting what I said from the very start. By emphasizing how much you are avoiding the park to build up your VC is precisely my point. You shouldn't have to avoid a certain part of the game because everyone else has paid to play in a game that you've already paid for. Stop defending nonsense. And stop acting like a fanboy if you don't want to be labeled as one.

i would do that no matter wat tho im not playing some shyt as a bum imma at least have a jumpshot. Like i said before 16 i didnt have a 2k since like 10 and i only got 16 cuz it was free. Didnt get 17 cuz it was ass after i played at a homeboy's house and im gamesharing with said homeboy for 18 so technically i havent even given 2k my money since 10 its all gravy for me. I play shooters and fighters more anyway
