This is my first time spending Ramadan in the UK because the last few years Ramadan has taken place in the summer which has allowed me to go back to the motherland (Jordan).
It's gonna be tougher than usual, but no doubt extremely invaluable and blessing-filled.
I'm trying hopefully to spend the second half of Ramadan in Jordan but not sure yet. It's much nicer to be in a Muslim country to soak in the beautiful atmosphere and to be around with extended family too. But it is beautiful either way.
As for most, this is probably the optimal time to get back into one's religious ways and develop good habits, especially if they've fallen astray throughout the year. Need to get back to praying, to reading the Qur'an, to forming a spiritual connection with God, to form even stronger bonds with my family etc.
Ramadan is also a time to capitalise on being health conscious. There are certainly health benefits that can arise from a well disciplined fast. I gotta try and work out how I'm gonna incorporate gym workouts into this.
Anyway Ramadan Mubarak y'all. Hope Allah blesses and protects everyone and their families this Ramadan.
Remember fellas, this is also the month that is home to maybe the most special night in the Muslim calendar, laylat al-Qadr.
We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:
And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:
Peace!...This until the rise of morn! (97: 1-5)
