LOL, the whole point of the hijab is to draw less attention to yourself,so wearing makeup negates the whole purpose of it. But in my everyday life I don't wear a lot I'm not out here contouring my face or wearing false lashes so I'm aiight. :troll:

NOOOOOOO!!!it can't be :mjcry: I took the 6th off from work. Has it been confirmed yet?
Can't be confirmed until the moon has been sighted. But you can't go over 30 days, so depending on when you started it could be the 5th. I know a lot of people are anticipating the 6th as well.

i asked because i smoked some weed with some Muslim friends the other day. Before we sparked that joint, they told me that it is Ramadan and it is a beautiful period for them and that they are blessed. They said something about sins. Afterwards, they did not care about Ramadan as soon as they started inhaling. I was going to question them about smoking but why get serious with them?

To the pale skin arabs in here though. Don't get it twisted ain't the mother of the prophet from kush?

I'm not a believer but just wanted to show some support regardless of any religious belief. Dr. Khalid Muhammad was big on that.

Just did my prayers and read through some of the Qur'an

Prayed for everyone I know, including y'all

May God give you strength, guidance, inner peace and prosperity for the remainder of your lives. May all your dreams come to light and be fulfilled. May you all receive the utmost happiness in your lives and may all these positive aspects be transferred to your friends and family as well.

Qur'an 38: 49-54
This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons) is a good final return (Paradise), Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered].Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish.

So remember, embrace Islam to the fullest in all aspects of its meaning and enjoy not just this life but life in paradise. I wish that for you all. Peace.
:salute:

Alright y'all been a while since I posted in here.

Anyway as you may know the last 10 days of Ramadan are extremely special and even though we have already entered those days, it is worth reminding y'all especially the Sunni Muslims who go off tradition that tomorrow is Laylat al-Qadr, or 'The Night of Power'.

Now the exact day was never actually revealed, so it is believed to lie on any of the odd numbered days within the last 10 of Ramadan e.g. 21st, 23rd, 25th etc. but most Sunni traditions set it as being the 27th, or more specifically, the NIGHT BEFORE the 27th i.e. the 26th after you break your fast which is tomorrow.

For those of you unfamiliar with it, or perhaps want to capitalise on this hugely significant night in the Muslim calendar, I've found this online for those goal-oriented folks.

16 things you can do on the Night of Power in Ramadan | SoundVision.com

If you have questions about the history behind the night or what the significance is or what you should/can do etc., don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else with knowledge on the matter.

Well done to everyone who's fasted so far and done everything correctly, but now it is time to step it up even further and no better chance to completely purify ourselves and enhance our spirituality than on Laylat al-Qadr.

God bless everyone.

May Allah accept your fasting and reward your intentions.

Also worthing noting is that if you pray on Laylat al Qadr its like you prayed for 84 years. Zakat and good deeds etc are multiplied by 84 etc. Allah subhana we tahallah gives us a chance to redeem ourselves every year :blessed:
