Considering Clips was offered a chance on the show & declined, I'm not even trying to hear what he has to say. Charlie has been known to stumble, so don't crown him just yet.
Charlie is better than DNA, but DNA would be a bigger threat imo in this format.
DNA said he wasn't contacted but he definitely would have been a problem.

When they were cyphering, I knew Daylyt wasn't gonna jump in at all.
Here's my opinion of Daylyt
He's a writer first, rapper second. He's not really a natural. He had to work really hard on his pen game to get where he is today. If you watch his old grindtime shyt, he literally looks like a nygga who is doing it, because he wants to rap. He looks like that "everyone one wants to be a rapper" type nygga. He worked on his shyt. I commend him, but your not gonna see a guy like him jumping into cyphers like that
It seems like he has to lock down & write. It doesn't come easy to him like it does others

The thing about Clips is even though I think he would have his stumbles, he could get it back better than anyone in the else. He would just keep going & work through it.
I think DNA would be a bigger threat because he would sound great in the room & he doesn't really stumble. He would get on his Jin shyt talking about what Crooked is wearing, current events & shyt like that.
Since a lot of emcees NOW want to be apart of this if there is a season 2, assuming they use the same format, team shady will definitely have a chance to give us higher quality battles as long as they select the right emcees. If nyggas are smart, they will just come with general bars, but the emcees made material clearly directed at their opponent.
I would look at guys who can freestyle at an extremely high level & guys who are just pros who just comes to work like Rex.
You know the fukked up thing about this show? It just shows the battle rappers choking, but it doesn't show them preparing for the battle like Joel said it would on the angryfan radio show. I thought we were gonna actually get to see their methods, but oh well. Dizaster said Aye Verb had an amateurish approach towards preparing for a battle, but yet we don't really get to see what he meant by that.

always thought the same, nikka had to work harder than most of these dudes to force himself to think like a rapper, also the main reason why he raps the way he raps and literally nobody else raps like him, no rappin ass nikka is gonna naturally rap in that same style, he had to create that shyt to suit the way he thinks

it'd be 10x harder for these nikkas to rehearse with a big ass camera in they face
shyt they barely had spots to practice in the first place, those types of distractions would just lead to more chokes
battles have been underwhelming so far and for people who never seen these cats before they don't realize how ill these cats and this profession is.
It sorta feels like this show is doing more harm than good. It would be like a show that came out in the late 80' s and showed Kane and Rakim outakes or worst moments performing live.

my main problem is these dudes not writing a damn thing before they got to the show, it's not like they just found out they were gonna be there the day before, they shoulda had bars on deck so they only woulda had to write an extra 6-8 bars specifically for the person they had to battle
Its like they didn't take it seriously. These cats usually spit 3-5 minute rounds and don't choke. Then they get on total slaughter, get 90 seconds and catch amnesia?!

thesaurus and illmac ran through everyone cause they had bars prepared
