my official critique of the show...1st season 30 mins an episode, acceptable.
Amount of episodes...not acceptable.
For us who closely follow the battle rap culture, this is a disappointing representation of the talent in the house. We all know they're capable of WAY better than whats being shown.
For the casual followers, this a bad representation of the talent in the house for the reasons up above, and because if they were tryna become familiar with folks they wanted to check out, based off this show why should they check them out if they can't make it through 90 seconds without choking or stumbling?
For a completely new fan this is a HORRIBLE representation. Imagine one of us tryna put someone new on and we're hyping Verb for example, and that stumble happened and it showed Verb lack of confidence afterwards. Or Big T creativeness is thrown out the window because of the stumble..and Marv Won experience looks like a complete lie because he flat out quit in his round.
Representation as a whole to the folks we know can do better, there should've been more episodes and double elimination to show that these dudes aren't a bunch of choke artists or a complete quitter in Marv Won case smh.
