Yea I'm not feeling the 90 second time limits either. I think one 3 minute round each would have been more ideal

They definitely did Cortez dirty throwing Rex at him like that. Sucks Cortez got a raw deal twice recently, both on this show and NOME 4. I feel bad for dude

:mjlol: at Marv Won boring ass being straight up cannon fodder. I guess they just needed a Detroit dude and X-Factor was busy

The worst part about the Marv Won thing imo is that he has most, if not all the tools to be a great battle rapper. If you've met him he's relatively charismatic, it just doesn't translate on stage because he's so lackadaisical. The Jump Off battles displayed how witty he is, the old school Detroit battles showed his street aggressive style, PLUS he can freestyle off the head. Not to mention his music is better than everyone else in the house.

The only league I can think of that were doing 90 second rounds is GrindTime and to be fair, Aye Verb, Cortez, Daylyt, Dizaster, Marv Won & T-Rex (I could be wrong on that one) have all been on GrindTime.

None of these guys came up on Grind Time, they were all battling before that. The only one who got popular off of Grind Time was Diz. But he was already known on the West Coast scene before GT came along. Most Grind Time battles were 60 second rounds. But yes sometimes the street style battlers did go 3 90 second rounds. So to be fair most of these guys have 1 or 2 total of those types of battles on camera, but afaik none of them started their career doing 1 90 second round. The 1 round 90 second thing probably came about from the battlers concerns about memorizing their material for each guy. I thought Total Slaughter was to blame, but I was mistaken about that.

I think Cortez lost the rematch in the house as well, but I'm not sure. I mean if it's just 32 bars straight through Rex is easily the favorite, he's got mixtape 32's that could beat anybody who isn't on their A game. It's almost unfair to let him in, but it's a great plot twist.

I just think Tez won based off his tweets, that he got his revenge and that it's a long season and just watch.
