Video games cost way too much money and time to produce now. Thats why imo the video game industry is kinda stagnant. Back in the PS2 or PS3 era you'd get video game tie-ins with all kind of movies and occasionally tv shows. By the PS4 generation that's mostly stopped. I can only think of Mad Max and some Marvel games that aren't direct tie ins to the movies.

That is true. However, Stranger Things is a strong enough IP to deal with that.

Also, ST Season 5 cost over $400 million dollars to make. They could make an ST video game with half that budget.
