Sometimes i feel like I'm talkig new born babies. What was NATO's purpose for existing? Why did it continue to expand after the fall of the U.S.S.R. If the U.S can declare the western hemispere off limits to the point of threatening a nuclear war over weapons in Cuba, surely we could have left the former USSR states out of NATO.

Jesus Christ, the entirety of the U.S history is them breaking one treaty after another with Native Americans. That's just what they do.
Elementary school geopolitics has done a good job on some

Ok, I had you pegged as a campist but i see you're treading into tankie territory now. @Carl Tethers clocked you properly.

I've had these conversations face to face with ML'ers at DSA meetings lol

All that stuff you mentioned is Kremlin pre-text for westerners because in Putin's eyes he doesn't even think the ukrainian identity exists. Real blood and soil shyt

They always fail to walk and chew gum. I know the West has always been on bullshyt but fukk rocking with Putin and Xi

Right, the big brain NATO expansion argument straight from the Kremlin. I'm sure the James Baker talking point is just right around the corner in the next post or two. It's amazing that you guys can be so smug about making round about empathetic arguments for Russian expansion while dismissing the agency of former Warsaw pact countries and Soviet nation states.

Yes we get it, America bad. That shouldn't be a defense for Russia invading/interfering with Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, Syria, and Tajikistan

Yeah flip things around and see if the U.S. would be happy with Canada and Mexico joining Warsaw Pact. My guess is U.S. would start WW3.

I don’t know if it’s arrogance or ignorance that makes a lot of Americans unable to imagine how other countries might feel about U.S actions.

I’m old enough to remember when It was all good in the early 90s when we had a drunk puppet in the Kremlin allowing U.S economists to run wild and humiliate Russia.
The problem arose when Russia began to assert itself again.

I'll give the Iranians one thing their bot/disinformation game has always been second to none
You should be skeptical of propaganda from either side. You think our government is beyond lying and propaganda? Especially this admin?

For example, I highly doubt our death count is only 6 soldiers so far.

I really don't like that Insensitive guy.
Thinks he knows everything or whatever.
The audacity of him to defer to those with much deeper knowledge on markets, materials and war than he.
:pachaha:
I'm not in Cali anymore, gas was already $5 a gallon.
It's hitting hard down here too, went from sub-$3 a gallon and I'm assuming/guessing it'll
get $4 a gallon once (if) Cali hits $8 a gallon.
