The W still has near peers though. There has to be zero doubt in a players mind to want to go to the W. If the pay is similar, benefits are similar or even better elsewhere, and the schedule not as grueling?

Outside of straight up not making the roster, there shouldn't be any reason a player should mull over the idea of playing in the W or going overseas/third party league.

Then the salary range is low too. Worst player in the league only making 4x less than the best in base salary? There is a whole lot of egos in sports, and I promise you that ain't gonna sit right with a couple of chicks

I don't think its a salary thing at this point

Guarantees/benefits/etc.

I think CBA length is a big one
Pension
Insurance
Scaling revenue sharing (if the W is truly as broke as it presents itself)
W being the only league they can participate

People were taking 20-30k paycuts if it meant they could work from home

If the players can take an Unrivaled/Project B/overseas contract and pick out a good chunk of better parts of those contracts compared to a W contract, I dont think an agreement will be made

I expected them to reject the offer.

I asked him the question because cacs and females online say the players should be getting at 5 to 10 times in salary and I wanted his take on it.
