dawgs its not even the nostalgia, it just that the new sprites are UGLY you really gonna sit there and tell me new starters can fukk with the old school ones? bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle = all reptilian goons.... the black and white starters? a pig that knows karate, a fukking otter with a samurai sword and a snake with legs, the charm is lost man... like with every classic cartoon the downfall was trying to make it 'edgy' when its some kid shyt the trainers in the new one are fukking hipsters and goths

I never could watch the anime but I could play the games. The inverse for Digimon, I could watch the anime but couldn't be bothered to play the games. I havent bothered to play Black 2 tho...just more of the same(to me compared to Black) and I'll just wait and see what comes next.

The one thing I'm glad they did with Black/White was create new Fire types. For a while the only worthwhile Fire types were the starters.

This has got to be the funniest thread I've read all day. I disagree with the sentiment that shyt went downhill after Gen 2 cuz from what i remember Gen 2 wasnt even all that. Maybe gotta try heartgold or soulsilver (played og silver). I wasnt a huge fan of Gen 3 either but Gen 4 and 5 are good. Im conflicted on the designs because while there are some questionable pokemon (ie delicious ice cream cones) you cant become stagnant with something you have to market to the next gen of churren

the only time I didnt go with a water starter was in Diamond/Pearl

Piplup just started to weak for me. only his final evolved form was worth having because he was Water/Steel My boy had resistances to damn near everything. I eventually traded for a Piplup and raised him and Turtwig together. Actually, I had Chimchar too.

I did like that they added the trading station to the series tho. Just put up the pokemon you want to trade and what you want to trade it for and wait a day or so and you get the Pokemon.
