As a musicians point of view, black music has always been a case where you take the current style and push it as far as it can go. Just swagging with it. Look at reggae, dancehall, afrobeats etc. We have riddims in dancehall, standards in jazz and blues, in african music its dance where the music styles are based off and in rap the dance element is fleeting, but the style element is strong with flows imo.
