Rebuilding (partially or full) isn't pointless. The "process" the 76ers took to rebuild was basically a waste of time though. The only two pieces going forward they have is a 7fter they drafted two years ago who hasn't seen the court and whose health status is unknown and a 22yo Euro product whose value in the league is unknown. That is not a stable foundation going forward after you've been tanking for the last three seasons.

:manny:
How was it as bad as you guys are saying?

Who knows what is up with Embiid, I am not even counting on him anymore. They do have Okafor, but doesn't fit in with Noel.

So let's say they move Okafor for the 3rd pick straight up...nothing else. I think they get more value out of him. I can't imagine they will get much for Noel.

They potentially have a core of:
Ebiid, who can possibly pan out to be a decent player
Simmons who has great potential
Noel who is a defensive beast
Hield or Murray

Looks pretty good to me, remember...the 76ers have been absolute trash since the post-iverson era. At least there is a potential core here :manny:

They are not trading both. They know they have to get rid of one, so they're gauging interest for both to see which one can net the biggest haul. And everyone keeps saying we're trading players away. Who have we traded in three years outside of MCW!?!? Y'all nikkas just see it the way y'all want to see it. Hinkie acquired a ton of assets for this reason. To wheel & deal! To keep and/or move parts to round out the roster... Why everyone thinks we should've been happy to be a treadmill squad is beyond me!?!?
Naw, it's very likely they trading both. Philly is strongly shopping both since they got the pick.

Maybe in your opinion
How would you label it? Fake pretenders to sell a couple of extra playoff tickets?

It's either try to go big or bust. I actually applaud the 76ers for having the balls to do some shyt like this in a big market. Nobody wants to sign with that franchise so you have to put yourself in the best position you possibly can. The Knicks should be doing the same thing, but many of the fans still think the world is running to play at Madison Square Garden :dead:

because hawks and raptors have no chance of winnning a title because they have no superstar and superstars are winning you titles. Sixers are doing all or nothing move by tanking in hopes to draft a superstar, what you dont understand? They had bad luck with embiid gamble and for the last few years majority of best talents were big men. And since they were drafting best available talent their pieces are not meshing together that well. AI leading them to the last conference finals is EXACTLY why they are tanking because no legit free agent was joining them when they had Iguodala, Williams, Jrue Holiday and other non all star players.

The TOUGHEST part for any teams ownership is to go from a good team to the elite team. Thats what the sixers are gambling for, I got mixed feelings about their tank project but I can understand the whole gambling part because when Hinkie took over the sixers team their roster was huge crap, a definition of treadmil, which required at least few years of rebuilding.

You are mentioning me Dallas and Pistons winning championships which happens extremely rare and Dallas had their superstar in Dirk, what type of superstar was playing for philly after iverson got traded to denver? What superstar wanted to join Iggy and the rest of crew??

What makes you believe philly will win 20 games next year? They have lots of money to spend and they are drafting high potential players right now, there will be young players interested in playing there because tanking is soon to be over in philly no matter if hinkie was fired or not.
nikka, Atlanta won 60 games and went to the ECF and Toronto just lost in 6 in the ECF. How the fukk do they have no chance. Man, shut the fukk up

They aren't even pretenders. Those teams were very good. Pretenders are teams like Atlanta in the Joe era. Where you knew that the best was a 2nd round exit. These teams got some of the right pieces, just not all the right pieces. To say that they have no chance is dense as fukk. Indiana went the whole 90s just being very good. Same for Dallas in the 2000s and 2010s.

Toronto put up some very impressive team numbers and their bench was very productive if not one of the most effective this decade. Atlanta in 2015 had some of the best starting 5 numbers of the decade and was a top 5 offense and defense. How is that not impressive?

Mediocre >>> Historically Bad
Are you sure about that? The Knicks have been attempting to stay Mediocre since they traded away Patrick Ewing.

Where has that left them? The 76ers have actually had better players come through, a more recent finals appearance and a much better core than we have. Do the 76ers have historically bad seasons under their belt? Sure, but at least they have something in return. The Knicks have NOTHING, The Nets have NOTHING.

It does not pay to stay mediocre. Did you learn ANYTHING from Flip Saunders and what he did with the Timberwolves? That core can be SCARY in about 3-4 years. They MIGHT win 50 games NEXT YEAR.

They had a chance. That's what they had and they got there. That seems to be the part you keep skipping over.
:mjlol:

Kyle Korver and the rest of the Atlanta group will admit they had no chance at winning a title that year. Apart from some of the delusional on here, Kyle Lowry was not going to lead the Raptors to the championship :dead:

You shut the fukk up :mjlol: , how come hawks lost to Bron alone last year in a sweep? Thats your so called 60 win "possibly contender" team? Top 5 on offense and defense just to get swept by Bron alone? Nikka hawks been making playoffs since 2008, its 2016 and they are yet to win a single conference finals game, they have no chance at beating cavaliers and you consider this team having a chance to win it all? They got swept by cavs two times. And we dont even know if cavs are going to win it all or if they are going to get beaten by the thunder/warriors BADLY.

oh yeah and if miami had bosh and whiteside available, they would have won the series against raptors with healthy valanciunas

EXACTLY! I'm convinced.. nikkas are just mad at the fact that we were completely honest about what this was. Being really bad to one day be great! nikkas just can't get past the being really bad part.. Clowns that actually prefer mediocrity..:snoop:
