I think it was like an extra 500k a year. That's a lot for me and you but a superstar nba player? That isn't life changing money at all.

Getting Dwight would be big for Houston. Parsons is nice but after that? Lin and Asik contracts go up to 14 mill (each... for one season) next year.

Life changing... He doesn't sign a big deal tears an ACL pulls a tracy mcgrady or brandon roy never is the same again and his career is done... No big money to fall back on

The nba is a business. As long as they put a competitive product on the court & continuously make the playoffs, the owners are gonna make that money & be happy. A championship is just a bonus. They can spin it every year that "this is the year" as long as you have Durant & Westbrook.

You're acting like OKC offered him $1 a year or something. Offered him close to 4 years and $54 million. That is big money to fall back on.

Nah bruh, that was part of the "poison pill" offer sheet they signed. If any team other then the Rockets signed them they would pay the 15 in the last year. The Rockets are paying each 8 and some change each year.

As far as Harden goes, you have to remember that the Heat big three were all coming into their 3rd contract. Their Max would have been much larger then Hardens.

Got my numbers off HoopsHype - NBA Salaries - Houston Rockets . Think it could be they pay that much in real money, but the cap hit is averaged out to $8mill a year or something.

True. Still think winning is more important, unless it's a role player trying to cash out for a big deal. Mcgrady himself says he regrets leaving Toronto. That team wasn't as stacked as OKC and Hardens career could end up like his.

All im saying is he got that much to be a back up... Yes he could have won a championship possibly but he wanted to be the main guy on a team... And from the looks of it he is doing just fine... And Okc missed him in the playoffs after westbrook went down

Houston Rockets management is like :lolbron:

Kevin Martin is the perfect example of a player that fools fans that don't actually watch games. Dude is trash in every sense of the word.

missing the finals this year prolly saved Durant's career... He already fragile, no way he could handle losing to the Heatles twice in a row.

Martin's :trash: to me, but with the Twolves backing up the brink truck for him, he's the winner out this whole OKC tomfoolery :ehh:
