Wow, I actually think this was a bad trade for the Thunder if Durant stays. While Ibaka isn't a great shooter, he plays really good defense and can hit the occasional outside jumper. Plus he had a lot of heart and challenged anyone coming into the lane. Him and Adams were a force. Also they just missed out on the Finals, and it wasn't a personnel issue as much as a choke job.

This is why I think Durant might be leaving, because this trade makes no sense. And I don't know what Orlando was thinking lmao.

:dead: That's lliterally all he is, do people even watch basketball anymore? Why comment if you are obviously not watching him play?

He doesn't contest much shots at the rim, but when he does he's elite. For some reason NylonCalculas always has him contesting a fewer percentage of shots at the rim than all the other front court anchors, maybe because he is a PF grouped with a bunch of other centers who are closer to the rim on defense.

Wait, are you saying he is a great shooter or not a great shooter?

My point is that he is good despite not being a great shooter. Are you saying he's trash?

I just need to see what else OKC has planned then, because as it is now I'm not a fan of the deal. Serge is more important than most realize
It's just one of those :ld: Presti moves, you trade 1 player for a gang of rotational players and then you turn around & only 1 of them is decent to good, he's done this before and it's worked out once.

Maybe they can move Kanter, if they can't it just becomes a straight up :wtf: move. My guess would be they're targeting Al Horford in FA if they can move Kanter, cause that's the only PF/C that works with what they have.
Even if the they don't make any more notable moves post-this trade, I still see them coming out better for it. No one player on their current squad is going to replace Ibaka's defensive impact and versatility (that much is a given). But they have more than enough pieces collectively to soften the blow - this will be reliant upon Durant spending more minutes at the 4 - with a lineup of Westbrook/Oladipo/Roberson/Durant/Adams closing out games.
