Real talk. The US dollar is worth a lot less than it was in the 1960s and as a result people can no longer LIVE at the lower end of the spectrum. Additionally, the manufacturing and union jobs that helped build the middle class are GONE.That's a bullshyt philosophy to have in today's time because minimum wage and a 40 hr work week still equals poverty. I will agree there are a lot of millennials with a self entitled attitude but to grab any job and work iT JUST BECAUSE is a dumb philosophy.
People are working. And they're working very hard and still coming up short. If you don't believe me go to Walmart on any third shift and you see all kinds of people working and for some of them that is their second job.
There are elderly and disabled people working because their retirement or disability doesn't add up.
In Arizona people with college degrees are bombarding Albertsons for cashier jobs.

), tech bubble, and a student loan bubble. On top of that you have developing countries creating the illusion of growth but it's a house of cards essentially (see: chinese economy).
