His weight got completely out of control after that album blew up and you can tell when the punch ins began, because the heavy breathing disappeared. Dude's prowess in the booth was legendary, from stumbling in drunk and dropping the Fantastic 4 verse in one take to dropping the verse on Pete Rock album while eating potato chips

Don't know about the whole top 10 thing, don't really see that except from a few superstans. His catalog ain't deep enough for that but his talent was obvious. Dude was a rarity in that he could slide to any lane effortlessly, from lyrical miracle rappity rap, to hardcore street shyt, to horrorcore, to heartfelt, to storytelling, to commercial pop hits, with natural charisma and a sense of humor
