One Of The Last Real Ones To Do It
I saw it in theaters the first week before I was hyped up...... shyt blew my fukking mind.
I left the theater with my boys and had a 30 minute conversation on if we were in the matrix

Only time I was truly surprised by the twist of a movie.

I was truly thrilled and pleased by the twist for the one and only time
It was like perfection on screen to me. As yall know it changed movie making itself

This right here. In fact I watched 13th Floor and Matrix back to back at the theaters. Matrix I couldn't understand WTF was going on initially, but the special effects were ill... I began to catch on at the 3rd quarter of the movie. 13th Floor had a similar premise but a better story and plot twist.
I’ve had two life changing experiences in a movie theater. The first was Terminator 2 and the second was the Matrix. I’ve never felt the amount of tension and suspense that I had when Neo was running in the hallways trying to get out of the matrix before or since. 
It was dope. The movie didn’t really “wow” me until the end when Neo came back to life and kicked Smith’s ass. That shyt was epic
My aunt put me on the matrix, just like she put me on alien and other sci fi films, shyt had me like 
when they would do all that shooting, fighting, maneuvering, running etc just to kill one agent, turn the block and that same agent come from behind the fruit stand cuz it hacked into old man yang had me stuck like
how are they going to beat them.. made me realize black people really in the matrix, scratching and surviving to get one dub over america, just to hit the corner and be face to face with more fukking obstacles from this fukked up system.

but if you were in your late teens or in college, that shyt was
especially the psychological aspect. and then comes the internet gaining fractions it just added to it. it was prolific for sure.

I saw it about 3 times in theater alone. It was epic at the time.
The first scenes with Trinity jumping mad far on some superhero shyt had me buggin. You knew where watching some game changing shyt.
