the only east coast hip hop artist that never got robbed in Oaktown...he lived here for a few years but I moved..hey may still be there
Kanye needs rehab..yeah I said it lolThat's common in Hip Hop. It's traditionally a young man's game. Hell, Big and Pac both died when they were in their mid twenties and had classics under their belts.
On top of that, the "older cats" (I'm 27, so i'd say i qualify) have a higher standard. We grew up in the 90s. It's a bit over-romanticized, but cats were making fukking classics and shifting the game so it could progress. Even if it was mad record label money being thrown in your face ala Bad Boy, cats were still making game changing records
Who of these young cats are pushing the game forward now? Kendrick and Drake are like the only ones you could argue for. I dont think Cole wants that label. ASAP is out here wearing dresses and shyt. And honestly, Drake is a direct product of 808s and Heartbreaks. Not saying he wouldnt have been where he is now, but Kanye is a game changer and he definitely made that brand of hip-hop more popular.

Where you been..he's been on some drunken tirades like crazy. Some stuff that TMZ doesn't even know. Talking sh*t.Why?
Drake is a MUCH better and much more accomplished rapper than Ye. And 808's is trash although I feel Ye on it. Best thing Ye did was open the lane for Chicago... its not fair cuz T put in much more work to do it and actually made Ye's first smash hit a smash hit butThat's common in Hip Hop. Okay its a competition, so there is a level of trash talk that goes back n forth like in sports. We all know that ppl talk alot of smack in the heat of the battle but that doesnt necessarily mean that the competitors dont recognize each others position. To me, im not gonna waste my time calling someone out if there isnt some level of respect. If you dont matter to me then im not gonna waste my time addressing you at all. Its all a competition so no one should take anything said in the heat of battle seriously. Like you said, someone says something slick and you respond but if you cant, accept your defeat and do better next time. I also see it as a way to make a name, you call out the best and hope you can hold your own against them so you can gain respect.Disagree.... it's about competition..that's hip-hop but still you still give props to whom paved the way that opened doors...that's healthy...hip-hop is about competition but not about fvck them and they don't know what they talking about type crap. I think I've made it clear..2pac at age 22 I believe when he made Old School gave a tribute. Now it's just flabby and sick crap because when it comes down to it..when a person has no words to respond back they just yell or post pics because they can't debate. I'm sorry but Drake said he won't stop singing on his songs...when was that hip-hop?
Sorry I have no respect for Drake and if he came to my vicinity with his bodyguards I will tell you right now...i'd fvk him up because he's bytch made...and now like Common said ....he's paying people on the under to not fvck him up ..i have no respect for him..sorry if I'm old school but we not scared to box and leave it at that but he's a whole other story....and hiphop is not singing......when was that ever hiphop?...I'm asking that question again.Okay its a competition, so there is a level of trash talk that goes back n forth like in sports. As far as Drake singing on his records, the man is putting a spin/his own approach to music to set him apart. What's wrong with that? Hip hop is a movement and movements are all about change...elevation...evolution. The music of the 80s and 90s is a far cry from the content and beats of today and thats because new artists came and put their own spin on things. Ppl take chances, it might catch on and it might not but at least the guy has the balls to make the music he believes in and created and he isnt some clone of an existing artist. Hip hop would die if ppl stopped daring to be different.
are u drake or ja rule?Sorry I have no respect for Drake and if he came to my vicinity with his bodyguards I will tell you right now...i'd fvk him up because he's bytch made...and now like Common said ....he's paying people on the under to not fvck him up ..i have no respect for him..sorry if I'm old school but we not scared to box and leave it at that but he's a whole other story....and hiphop is not singing......when was that ever hiphop?...I'm asking that question again.

NOW, to answer your question. Its hip hop now. Like it or not, hip hops changing constantly get on board or get left behind.Sorry I have no respect for Drake and if he came to my vicinity with his bodyguards I will tell you right now...i'd fvk him up because he's bytch made...and now like Common said ....he's paying people on the under to not fvck him up ..i have no respect for him..sorry if I'm old school but we not scared to box and leave it at that but he's a whole other story....and hiphop is not singing......when was that ever hiphop?...I'm asking that question again.
