It’s seems like Knicks front office went with an analytical approach to the draft process. Unfortunately they probably missed out on a few All Stars in doing so.

If RJ Hampton pops in a real way I’ll be pissed. Bane too. If he turns out to be a better pro than Quickley than we should be dissatisfied as an organization. Singling out players the way they did is only smart if they hit. Nobody is mad at the Suns for reaching for Cameron Johnson because dude was a lights out shooter that they used perfectly in his role. If not they’d be getting killed constantly.

Obviously for both franchises these guys are the future and we both have positional logjams.

What do y’all think of a Rozier for Randle trade?

Rozier would be a stop gap. I didn’t catch much of him in Charlotte. 18/4/4 last season, 41% from 3 on nearly 7 attempts. He’s a smaller guard and tough which Thibs likes at least in Boston he was considered a good defender. He’s not as good as VanVleet but he’s cheaper and we need to unload Randle. I also like that he’s a combo guard and can play off-ball which will give R.J. opportunities to be a point forward.

Charlotte could be interesting in using Randle as a small ball 5.

I wouldn't go for Gordon Hayward with all the bigs on the team.

Assuming their website has an exhaustive list, Gallinari is the only CAA FA on the market.

Barring some trades, not sure how he fits the team now if there is any real intention to develop Knox into anything more than a reserve this year.

With Rubio and Edwards in Minny, Malik Beasley might be gettable for cheap. This front office seems to lean on character tho so idk if that’s a gamble they want to take. He’s a perfect fit age wise too.

Rozier+Monk for Randle+DSJ+Pick.

I’d do that trade right now, we get a stop gap PG in his prime and a young 6th Man caliber talent. Thibs not with the bullshyt.
