So it looks like we're keeping Bullock. Probably letting Dot go.
I'd be shocked if we didn't keep Taj, but I remain hopeful.
Ellington, Payton and Portis have to be on their way out, which frees up a little under 30 mill or so.
If that's the case we're looking at a current depth chart of:
Mitch/Taj
Randle/Toppin/Wooten
Knox/Iggy
RJ/Bullock/Frank
Quickley/DSJ/Harper
Gotta imagine Randle and DSJ are on the chopping block.
If FVV isn't an option, based on our flirtation with Kira, that might be us signaling for a speedy guard. What speedy guard just became expendable because their team just drafted a point guard in the lottery and has ties to Kentucky? Enter De'Aaron Fox.
He's on his rookie scale so we probably can't get him straight up with any of our current crop 1-1 (barring RJ, which is a hell no) I wonder if Sacramento would do this -
Fox and Barnes
For
Randle, Knox and DSJ
Works on the trade machine.
Knicks swap a Wildcat for a Wildcat at the cost of absorbing Barnes' hefty contract. Sac goes all in to invest in Haliburton, have Knox as a potential replacement for Bogdan and DSJ for their downhill play and can use Randle at the small ball 5 or 4. Knicks get a PG for the future and makes his bytch ass pay us back for clowning us for our draft pick falling.
Just saying the contracts work.
Mitch/?
Toppin/?
Barnes/Bullock/Iggy
RJ/Bullock/Frank
Fox/Quickley/Frank
Taj and Wooten?
Gallo and/or Wood?
Kidd-Gilchrist? Crowder?
